this brings up a good question: I can not determine how to make my linked photos appear smaller. I can paste the link, shrink it down to a fixed number of pixels wide, and it still comes back gigantic on initial post. I have to post, then go back and edit the size down, then it stays small.

Anybody know the solution?
From what I can see in the single post I have made since joining selecting thumbnail is the answer. Then any reader can click on it and it should open up larger.

I have to say. I transposed my pic from my wife's cell phone to my email. And I didn't know it was that big until today. And man that is to big. So I can understand. I will know better next time. My bad.

Me and the Mrs. went to look at a property today. In one of the sheds were some empty toolboxes. I told the owner I would like to buy them and he said just to take them. So I did, but hopefully they’ll be the most expensive boxes I’ve ever “bought”. Need to clean up the mouse droppings but most of the original felt is in great condition. (I’ll try thumbnail pictures this time)

Some say the sharp edges are a little uncomfortable in your hand. I personally don't mind the feel of them, but then again I'm not using them professionally day-in, day-out.

Longer discussion here.

Thanks. Pretty sure I have bunches of those, LOL. I usually wear gloves when working, so I haven't really noticed. Plus, I was raised by a Craftsman lover.

While I don’t post often, but I check the thread weekly for the great finds. This isn’t a garage sale or flea market find. It’s a freebie from work.

Backstory: Visited one of our company’s nearby pump stations last March and saw that the electrician had purchased a new snowblower for the station. Seeing that the old one was perfect I asked why? It was too big and cumbersome. Jokingly I said it would look great in my garage.
Fastforward to last Friday. I had the day off and heard a back up beeper in the driveway. There’s my co worker backing up to unload it.

This thing is beautiful. Maybe 3-5 hrs max on it. 15 hp 30” cut. Headlight and handwarmers. Perfect for the impossible pile at the end of the driveway from the snowplow.
Great way to start the New Year!

I can attest to this and this is one reason I migrated off my beloved Craftsman RP wrenches. I didn't even realize what a difference a diffent deign made until I was borrowing some SO for a job at a buddy's shop.

I've actually bruised my fingers hauling on a Craftsman RP wrench - Supposedly that's impossible, but I've done it...

This is not intended to take anything away from the RP Craftsman wrenches, they were a great value, but I pull too hard on them and long odds most simply don't pull as hard. (I was the guy that always had to get the super stuck fasteners loose, still do for my adult son... (Lug nuts commonly)

I usually wear gloves when working, so I haven't really noticed.

My comments above were Prior to evern using any sort of glove, mechanics or Latex for working on stuff

Adding to the massive suckage this earned you!

I have disciplined myself to leave singleton wrenches and sockets for The Next Guy when cruising Garage Sales, Estate Sales, Flea Markets, et al

Well, most of the time.....

But.....for some reason when pulling open a tool box drawer at a sale and I see what looks like matching wrenches or sockets, I have this Issue With Myself where I have to put them in order so that I can see how complete the set is....

If the set is almost complete (I NEVER find complete sets of anything) I can't help myself.....they end up in the truck

So, I bought 8 Craftsman 6-point combination wrenches at a sale. Generally it's my practice to leave C-Man raised panel combos for The Next Guy...
But, since they were 6-point combos, the price was right...what the heck....I bought them

3/8 to 7/8 with the 7/16 gone AWOL
Found a 5/16 and an extra 13/16 in one of my Give-Away boxes

CM.jpg
If you have an extra 7/16"er in 6 point, let me know.
Hey if you like, you can have the 13/16 :D
I’ve got an extra 6 point 5/16” and 1/4” if you want to add to the set. IMG_2445.jpegIMG_2446.jpeg

OK, What's the problem with raised panel Craftsmans?

Mike
Not a darn thing Mike
Since Sears sold thousands upon thousands of them, they are not exactly scarce....
Not in the least bit. They're all over the place
And.....since I have a BUNCH of them myself.....
More than a bunch, in fact....
I have no problemo leaving them for The Next Guy :D

Unless it's been repowered, it's roughly 11 HP (15 ft-lbs of torque). OPE engine manufacturers love to play games with numbers.

But YOU MOST DEFINITELY ****!!!!!

Picked up these two Coleman lanterns from Facebook Marketplace today for $40 for the pair. The one on the left is a 220F but I can’t tell the date as the bottom has a good bit of paint peeling and rust. The one on the right is a 220E with a 8/61 date code. Both of them need some work to get running, but they’re very solid otherwise and they both have the flint strikers and intact globes. :)

I'll double check but I swore it said 15hp. I know how they usually use the model number as an engine size and cutter size. Now you have me wondering?

Estate sale ($42): Cummins N14 Main Bearing Set; Propane cylinder; Craftsman 5161 tool chest; 2 Cargo restraints; Bucheimer 01-016-49 holster; 4 rebar; Stanley No. 923 10" bit brace; Microplane extra course grater; Brookstone clock; Worth 13-1/2" plane; Birds of Iowa; Miso soup; Phi Delta Theta mug; 5-Revere Ware saucepans (1 ($25), 1-1/2 ($22.50), 2($28.50), 3($38.50), 4-1/2 ($32.50) qt) and lids; Tire inflator and air hose; Bungee cords; Hazel leather portfolio Kenworth branded; Peterbilt cold weather radiator cover ($135).

First estate sale of the year and it was busy. People were still pouring in after I'd made my 1st pass through the house. The Cummins bearing set is cool, but strictly a reseller item. On the other hand the Phi Delt mug is strictly for us looking to relive past drinking adventures.

That's what made me look it up: blower model 1130...

ctuai you ****. Nice haul. Some good stuff there to cover your costs.

Just listed the Revere Ware, plus some additional pieces I hadn't gotten around to listing. Easy list, easy move keeps the algorithm happy. :). 01/17 update -- Just sold the last piece of the Revere Ware for a total of $147 for the five pieces shown in the lot.
