I picked this Snap-on roll cabinet this past weekend at an estate sale and have been unsuccessful in identifying its model number or vintage. I have looked through maybe twelve catalogs so far. It is somewhat unique, and I haven’t seen one like it posted in GJ before. It is in good shape, but obviously needs some clean-up. It has one drawer with some built in dividers. The back has an electrical outlet. Does anyone recognize this Snap-on roll cabinet? It may have a specific industrial use and/or was only sold for a limited number of years. Much appreciated.

I'm fairly new to the forum and have been following/enjoying this Snap On

Does anyone know when Snap On started offering metric sets? I would think the market/need for metric sizes in the USA was very limited back in the late 1950's.

Metric and British Whitworth sets were first cataloged in an Export Catalog in 1938.

Thereafter in the 1939+ cats.

After further review and investigation down the rabbit hole. I think I have a Snap-on Milwaukee T brace. It is only 11.7 long and every thing I can find, it should be 12.3 long. There is the line that looks like the Snap-on have underneath. Any help would be great.
Some variance is to be expected but likely the top part got pushed in with use

I’m wondering if this is a set of the oval drive system Walden offered long ago?

I have a few sockets but have never seen the drive tools.
I would be surprised if there were actual tools made that correspond to this add but you never know

Found these crow foot sockets yesterday. Normally I see the marked FCOxx. These have no model # and feature a 3/8 drive in both horizontal and vertical plane. Any insight on date and model# is appreciated.

Okay Snap-mom or Steven 33. Model 97 with suction grips but no date code or other markings like some on ebay. Would this be after first production or earlier? Thanks.DSCF7086.JPGDSCF7089.JPGDSCF7090.JPG

I have some. Haven't done a deep dive on them though. I think they stopped making the ones marked 97 in early 30s. Probably the other marking placement with the "vacuum grip" marking on the pivot point are earlier so these would be a later one in the short one. That's mostly speculation though. I don't really collect them either. Just kinda hold onto what I pick up until I have a decent set put together so haven't had a need for thorough research

I bet 'FSP Vac. Tools' would know!
Although the title is for 'Pre Snap On' there might be an answer on this thread:

Weird ratchet with very shotty welds based on the Nxxxx part number I assume it was factory altered but not sure to what extent. The plating is pretty consistent even on the shotty weld part so I'm a little perplexed 20240330_193348.jpg

If anyone interested feel free to message me. I have no use for it and have no idea how to price it. If nothing else it could be useful in certain situations I'm sure

Does it have the directional lever on the ratchet?

I found a few Snap-on and Blue Point items at a tool sale yesterday. I liked the flare nut wrench but I really liked the chrome plated vacuum grip pliers which cleaned up well and they are now in the plier drawer of my user toolbox. None of my other vacuum grip tools are chrome plated.

AC was a military standard before WWII. I am familiar with hydraulic fittings with AC designations, and am aware of AC being used for other designations.

The wording indicates that the wrench was supplied by Snap On, but to a customer specification.

I'm fairly new to the forum and have been following/enjoying this Snap On thread.

I picked up this Metric, 3/8" drive ratchet & socket set a few years ago. If I remember, I only paid $20.00. The box is a KR281 and dated 1957. The sockets, ratchet and accessories have mixed dates of 1957 & 1958. I didn't realize they were making metric sets back then. The 12-point sockets range from 9mm thru 19mm. I think the 8mm is missing and I've been looking for one with the correct date to add to the set. If anyone has one please contact me.

This set is in very, very good condition showing only very light usage. It has been sitting in my tool box since I have others in my everyday stuff.

Does anyone know when Snap On started offering metric sets? I would think the market/need for metric sizes in the USA was very limited back in the late 1950's.
The sliding T handle should be in the spot where the breaker bar is.
The breaker bar should be 2 spots up if it's the F10LB model. The F12LB didn't come with that set.
IIRC, the 8mm socket didn't come with that set A lot of their sets didn't come with the 8mm.
