you guys are killing it for a Holiday W/E!
I had a really good day, until I came home and discovered I'd misplaced my pocket magnifier... I've become very attached to that thing ever since I picked it up as a bare tortoise shell framed magnifier, and made a leather cover for it. It's been my "second pair of eyes" for almost 12 years... I even went back to my last stop to see if I'd set it down or dropped it there... I thought I remembered using it there, I don't recall using it at the other stops.
I'll have to see if I can find something similar I guess.
UPDATE! OMG! I took the little C-clamp (See Below) out to my wire wheel and what do I find? My magnifier!
I'm SO happy

but confused too

. I could swear I used it this AM, and not out there! but super glad I found it! I was already looking for a replacement!
Back on topic:
The picking was good, so slight compensation for losing the magnifier, but I still felt sick about it.
3 stops no TOO's all three produced, but the big win was stop one:
What attracted me was 2 pics and a mention of Unistrut. but the Unistrut was the little thin stuff, so a fail there, the pic was a box I thought might be wartime, and possibly Plvmb:
I'm thinking 27-30 " wide... it was 4-5 FEET wide and a job box! I wasn't even close! It was left behind.
What I DID find made the longer trip well worth it!
The Coleman #1 funnel was my first grab and needed a rag for the oil on it.. The Eagle Oiler was NOT oily - Go figure! Small butterfly clamp, Poper Iron & Wire Works file handle, and a Mini Melting pot - he had a stack of pots, but I wanted this one for some small casting I'm planning on.
The big score - 4 Wilton Power arm Juniors! I have one Wilton baby bullet, so one is planned for.
He had 2 Kero lanterns, but this one called me, the other looked like a project with missing parts - it is a Little Defiance No. 1 - The far side has "Stolen from the Streets Department - City of Oakland" embossed. Red globe - it should clean up decent. I like the globe guards!
A fire pot, maker to be determined:
Maybe this one I can get going!
A couple of Burlap bags - I think they are from Ethiopia? - Someone on another Forum googled these and verified - Coffee Bags from Ethiopia, USA was the (obvious) destination.
6 NOS Half round files!:
And a NOS Williams 4" clamp:
$40 all!
At a YS I found a SF Giants stadium snow(fog -kind of cool)-globe (not pictured) and this brass candlestick for $3:
And my last stop - first pics was free, - first trip - second was a buck when I went to look for my magnifier.
Plvmb #3 Phillips, Brass "key", Brass and plated washers for countersunk screws, and a file card stamped PAT OCT 7, 90, and marked (I'm reading shadows here) COLTON'S PAT. FILE [something] - Back Frame and Face - Mardwell [Something, something, San Francisco, CA? ]...:
And 2-1/2" "Adjustable" C-Clamp, A Gimlet, an Ice pick, and a Trimble & Fink, Baltimore MD. Patented driver - its supposed to have a way to spread the driver tips to hold a screw, but Its locked up ATM.
