It's what I use for my daily caffeine instead of coffee. I limit myself to one a day and I try to skip days every so often.I haven't had one of those in 30 years, maybe that would put some extra zip in my step!
"Give me a mountain and nothing to do
Give me the sunshine give me a Dew
Give me something simple and true
All I need is sunshine and true refreshing Mountain Dew yeah..."![]()

I can relate. I've had plans the past couple of days but just no ambition. Cold weather isn't helping either.Just looked at things and dreamed...

We moved it with a telescoping forklift! It sitting on my harbor freight wheel dollies and they are not happy. It was the table for a navy yard radial drill press in It's previous life. The top was machined on a planer but the previous owner let it get wet and pitted part of the surface.Does that thing weigh just under 1 million pounds?
Nope - about 10 miles southeast of LA. Low to mid 60's but in the 40's overnight. Overcast and blah.Is your actual location elsewhere?
We were there for a week (just got back last night) and it's been hot out there.
Spent a few days at Legoland.
It was 92 on the 10th in Santa Clarita. ( 30 miles north of LA) Today was 68. It was in the mid 40's the last few nights.Nope - about 10 miles southeast of LA. Low to mid 60's but in the 40's overnight. Overcast and blah.

For a SoCal born & raised guy, it's cold enough. Got back from the gym this morning, had a wonderful lunch, and that was about it. I could have fired up the torpedo heater (flame breathing dragon) but just didn't.**** man, that's far from cold!
It was 65 or so when we left.
We spent last weekend at my friend's house in Monrovia, then stayed in Carlsbad for Legoland for a few days all up until yesterday evening.

Yeah, it can get nasty up there. My sister is in Modesto so I have some sense of what it's like.Gotcha.
I lived out in San Clemente for 4+ years, Monterey for 11+ years, and now reside in the Central Valley.
I get hot at around 65 and up.
When it's over 75, it's a whole "**** that" and just running up the AC to the max anywhere I'm at.
It was warm out here which is why we headed down south since it was cooler out there than here.

That was smart to rent it out. I used to live on Lighthouse down at the end in Pacific grove. I couldn't afford to buy a place at the time. I worked at MBA. I considered moving back after I retired but my life is here now.Yep
Fluctuates a lot but you can definitely get used to it.
My wife is from the Central Valley so like you, she's used to warm weather. But it only took her staying a few weeks at my place in Monterey for her to love 30-50 degree weather.
When I rented out my house up there and bought one here, she was like "maybe we should've stayed up by the coast, I miss the weather"![]()
You did all that work to get rid of the extra green stuff, but then you watered it? Now it’s just gonna grow back.lolAnd because the yard was bugging me too much, I said **** it let's get started.
Mind you, it was neglected for a week before that with the rain we had so weeds sprung up like crazy.
That last picture is the infamous Dad pose...I didn't realize it until I went back looking through my footage to see the change![]()
