A new Gedore arrival
8250-200 milti Pliers.
My Gedore Plier set grows a bit more.

I definitely prefer the dipped handle to comfort grip. Instead buying new Pliers, I may just remove the comfort grips and dip them.

I have the 8250-225, and they're the first pair of pliers I reach for for almost everything. Nine years later, they're still as good as new.

I saw this 2mm Wera for about 50% off. $4.50 or so delivered, cheap dopamine, so I bought it. It delivered this morning, so the first thing I did out of bed was go to the door and grab it.

Just as I go to tear open the white Amazon padded envelope, the slight pressure was all it took for the jagged broken tip to jut out clean and cut my left hand. Annoyed and ever so slightly bleeding, I sit at my desk to fill out the return. I mention that I have not even opened it yet and it’s stabbed me through the package.

Amazon did the instant refund with no return necessary. So since I’m not sending it back I decided to open the opaque shipping package and see if I could think of an alternative use for the broken tool.

Lo and behold, there is second one! Hell ya! Free screwdriver. Now im excited. A minute later I’m about to snap a picture to send my buddy and I realize though the inner package that the second one is broken too.

So this was just a lot, emotionally, all at once, in the first 5 minutes of being awake.

Judging by our widely varied reactions, that story was a lot for us to handle, too, LOL...

Contact him, a case like this is right in his wheelhouse. Make sure you don't put any balm on your cut hand.;)

Had some Capri points so, I picked up their new 1/4 drive locking flex head ratchet with an all metal handle. Measures approx 9 inches overall, crisp 90 tooth action, nice chrome, push button lock, no unlocked position :wtf: Goat logo on the ratchet head. Head is about 15/32 thick so, not as thin as a Gearwrench. Looking at the selector switch and gear cover, it looks like it's made by the same peeps that make the Die Hard ratchets :dunno: Here's a mystery, I ordered the ratchet on 5/3/25, got it Thursday, looked on the Capri website this morning and the all metal handled locking flex head long ratchets are gone. :willy_nil They're no longer listed on the website. The comfort grip versions are still available. Very strange. This might be a record for the shortest new release product for Capri. It's worrisome but, I'll survive. I also noticed that their recently released reversible ratcheting combination wrenches are also gone. Trade war victims? who knows. I just hope it doesn't become a trend. I like the Capri items I have.

On the jobsite, where black fingernails are made, we used our cordless drivers with a 1/16" bit.

The feeling of relief is impossible to describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it.
I could never convince my ex of this. Our son even tried to talk her into letting me use a hot paper clip on her big toe when she pulled a filing cabinet drawer out onto it and turned the whole nail black. Our son was 7 or 8 and I’d done it to one of his finger nails that he’d smashed once and he even told her that it didn’t hurt and kept it from throbbing and told her to quit being a baby.

I have a pair of he ones on the left. What's their purpose? My guess is for cables??? Also, any specific use for the ones on the right? They look handy.
I have these ones as well. I got from my Dad.

Dad was in the Army US Signal Corp. Wondering if they were for cabling as well.

NOS pin chuck driver, with six bits in the handle:

The front of the package says "Made in USA", but they're actually made in the RoT:

Should come in handy. My last pin drill was a push-drill style, which made it very easy to snap a tiny bit off.

Tooltron is still in business, but mostly seems to be a hobby-supply reseller. I can't find this tool on their site. In fact, this drill bit driver looks a lot like something Ullman would have made....

I think I showed the box for this radius tool a while back. But today I finally broke it out only to find out it doesn’t fit this model of router. There went 1.5hrs eyeballing dead center. This really ***** being two hours from my shop, I could have milled a centering mandrill in five minutes 😣

Yes, the one with these jaws are gas burner pliers:

These are wiring duckbill pliers, suitable for twisting safety wire:

Credit goes to the guys on the Vintage Tools page, who schooled me up on some of these details.

I just bought 'em because they are cool and are in nearly-new condition. Yeah, it's a bit of a disease, but I don't need to 'splain that to y'all.

Some rough but cheap Vise grips

Some stuff from local hardware stores including vise grips that aren't horrible. 11SP style has no side to side play. Crescent and the 6sp style have very minor play.

And where did you find that for €21?
From Japan and I lied. It seems I paid extra ~2 euros in tax and domestic japanese shipping (to a hotel) was included in the price. Friend brought it to me. so it was ~€22,20 total.
It was from one of those shops that deal used tools there. Can't remember which one. There are so many: Chura kougu, tool off, act tool or actool, tool purchase kingdom, rerise, etc.

He's from Finland I believe.

21 Euros is like $25 US ??
Yes I am. With tax it was roughly $25 US.
