Holy moly, that thing is packed!! Was there room for the kid??
This was the back of the XC60 on the first trip
There were bags on the floor of the backseat enough but the 50 lb dog and kid had most of the back seat. It was also a Christmas trip ....several larger gifts cot shipped back lol. That trip caused me to buy a receiver hitch so I could put a hitch carrier on....6 yrs later no hitch carrier has been bought and the receiver hitch is still in its package on the shelf.... probably should put that on to be done with it.

The stroller actually isn't that bad space wise when its folded up ans thr wheels are removed. I'm assuming we would still bring it for a couple years?

We used these on vacation once our kids were out of the infant carrier.

They fold up small enough we could put them in front of the kids seat on the floor since their legs were short.

@jar944, In 1963 we had our second child so we had a car seat for the year old and a car bed for the baby. Once folded up they took up very little room. At the time, the family car was a 1947 Ford tudor with a huge amount of room in the back seat and legroom like a limo. Daughter got the seat, with the only seat belt in the car, hooked over the rear seat and the son got the bed on the floor.
By 1966 they were both sitting in the back seat in our 1962 Rambler station wagon. Everyone had seat belts.
I gave up in 1968 and bought a reliable and family friendly mini van -- aka Pontiac GTO.

Oddly it has a treated band joist, which seems likely a replacement from the last time this happened. Still zero flashing. So close but still a giant preventable failure.
This saga just got worse for my friend with the water intrusion issues.
His new deck is almost finished by the contractor and flashing was a series of poor practice and planning.

The flashing issue is huge but there are a few other concerning issues in those deck pictures as well. I hope your friend has not fully paid that guy yet cause they almost all needs to come back out to fix the problem.
Oddly one of the few things they appear to have done right.
Apparently they have 3 supervisors (and 3 workers) there currently including the company QC lead. I question the ability of all involved
I've been getting updates via phone calls periodically for consultation on the mess.

He sent some more pictures and I spy some interesting flashing details I've not seen before.

Nevermind the flashing (which is just....wow), but is that ledger seriously secured to the house with just Simpson #8/10 screws??? Surely there's something more substantial than that holding it up??
This just further enforces my dislike of decks directly attached to houses. Almost anytime I see one it has some sort of issue.

They could be ledger locks.
Attached solves some problems of free standing decks, but certainly makes water mitigation way more difficult.
I've used those ledger locks. I've also used some of those same brand but torx style flush head ones that were 10" long. That are stout!

Yeah I used the torx version (not the 10" though) on my deck.
Yup those be the ones. I can't remember how much stronger the box said they were than your standard lag. I thought they drove easy, I like them.
I used the special red coated ones on a loft I added for a buddy in his garage. I used those to attach ledgers to each wall and then we spanned it with those engineered I beams, decked it and then I wrapped the whole thing in sanded ply for him to look a little nicer since he works out of there.

Yes it's basically just a outdoor kitchen extension. I wanted a 12' gate instead of the 10' gate that was currently there and the smoker is currently directly under the furnace air intake so really needs moved. The elevation drop needs some attention so i decided to make L shaped and mirror the left side layout..
