Anyone reading this thread likely knows I generally avoid hiring out work, but I'm short on time and looooooong on projects, So I decided to have the stone veneer for the outdoor kitchen extension done by the same company that did the patio. Easy enough, or so I thought.

Quote 1 was late October for $31.2/sqft labor (50 sqft total)

Contract they sent over on Nov 10 for $34.7/sqft labor (92 sqft total) no idea where he got that 92 from. I asked for a revised sqft based on the actual project.

Contract 2 (sent last night) was $54/sqft back at the original 50 sqft we spoke about.

After a phone call a few minutes ago we are back to $31.57/sqft.

I'm actually curious if the contract will match when its sent 🤔
I wish I could say this surprises me at all.

Question: would it be worthwhile to add a slight slope to the counters so water would drain, or is it basically unnecessary?

I don't see anything code wise except 2 20a outlets (not doing that)

If there was a gas line it would need to be compliant , but im using 20lb tanks.

Not much to burn in there.
Do you need to provide any venting in the structure for leaked LP gas to escape? LP is heavier than air.

I wanted to connect to the 1000g tank, my wife vetoed since I may have left the grill on for a bit longer than intended, by a day or so.
Assuming I get to build my outdoor BBQ space one day, I will connect it to the house propane tank but will use a timer setup on the propane connection.

That has happened a few times at my dad's place where it is hooked up to the house NG supply. We fixed that by installing a line timer. Just open the cabinet below. You can turn it on for up to 6hrs at a time.

edit: @larry4406 had already beat me to it.
