@timoboy It looks like you have a Bonney set from WWII era, as shown here
Sorry, took forever to edit and put the pictures in...Waiting with baited breath!![]()
That's a very nice find!!! Congratulations, Timoboy. Your earned your "You ****" award!!!I came across this posting today, $20 for a bunch of old tools and they come in a box, I’m in!
I’m hoping someone else knows more than me about this stuff. After separating out all the junk tools, etc what I was left with was a bunch of 3/4”, 1/2”, and 3/8” drive Bonney tools as well as some kool USA tools of other brands. Super old Mac wrenches made pre chrome plating. Good size lot of craftsman with a 1/4” rhft I’ve been looking for.
As far as the tool box itself it’s pretty old, I think it might have been original to the Bonney set, but someone would know more than me.

I see a 1/2” drive Indestro 3217 universal in your large haul. I found one on Saturday and after it came out of the evaporust yesterday I added it to my GMTK spares. Many aren’t Indestro marked. This is part 2 for above

... Just noticed that the image of SO sockets was upside down - added it again...
The vintage (20s-30s) SO sockets are not included in this list. There was one more vintage set on top of a hehagonal L-drive, but I did not clean it up yet...
... Do not ask how long it took to clean this - lost motivation multiple times. I guess sometimes I just can not leave the tools which could end up in trash behind...

I got pretty lucky and landed a freebie. 2”x72” black walnut slab.
Wow! You ****! That’s 3/4 of the original Bonney contents of the MC1 Bench Set, bmwrd0 pointed out on p27 of the 1943 catalog.I came across this posting today, $20 for a bunch of old tools and they come in a box, I’m in!

Looks like he already posted it on EBAY!Wow! You ****! That’s 3/4 of the original Bonney contents of the MC1 Bench Set, bmwrd0 pointed out on p27 of the 1943 catalog.
Congratulations!
I second Shelbylex’s request that you post them on the Bonney thread.
You sure did!I had a pretty good morning today.
Neato! You ****!The box is a Kwality Kases leatherette. Never heard of them but it seems well made. So here’s what I got for $60
That's a decent price for the organizer alone, methinks.Had a good day myself. Everything was half off, got all of this for $25. The socket set is a Stevens Walden. The contents of the organizer were a bonus, I really just wanted the box.
Yep you ****!I came across this posting today, $20 for a bunch of old tools and they come in a box, I’m in!

There is but I haven’t gotten around to deciphering it.^ anything stamped on that widget that might give an indication as to maker or what it might be?

You ****!I picked up a toolbox with tools that I won at an online estate sale auction this morning. They only showed a couple of pictures. ( lid open top tray and one with tray removed ). With all fees and taxes, I paid $22.26.

Also great for strength training!Pencil holder. I use an old Snap-on 2-7/8" socket as one, works great!

It probably would have only been $25ish if I had not bought the 3 3/8” Grey Pneumatic socket. I will, probably, never need it… but I had to fill the peg on my socket rail

There was well over 100 blades for different power hacksaws.
This too! I just gave my youngest daughter an 8 oz ball peen head for post surgery PT on the back of her hand. we will graduate her up as needed.
You beat me to it!Using an 8 oz ball peen on the back of a hand recovering from surgery sounds like questionable PT.

I have so many of the Plomb and Snap-on extensions from Kitts that they don’t even turn my head anymore.I should have looked harder at the Plomb extensions. I think I've bought several at Kitts before.
Want to sell one of those enderes drivers?Went back to the Kitts warehouse sale today.
Grey Pneumatic sockets, Wright sockets, four sets of made in USA drill bits (1/16”-9/32”), a Wright 3/8” extension, and five Enderes screwdrivers $45.

Update

I recall our GP giving us a good whack on the knee with one....You beat me to it!
I‘ll ask my PT friend if there is ANY application for a hammer head in PT.
The unmarked 3/8” drive speeder is likely prewar S-K or Brazil.Sometimes you go to the sale, sometimes it comes to you. I had to run down to my storage unit to get a Van part for a paint match. The guy next door, who runs estate sales hereabouts, saw me and asked how much of the tool haul he'd just made I wanted to move to my unit. He's holding a sale starting tomorrow, so I get my pick of the goodies!
This was my grab:
I paid $50 for it. It's a nice box, but missing the front panel--of course.
Plus...
lots of goodies in the drawers.
I have a buddy who's been looking for a machinist's chest for a while now. I've offered him the chest for $40.
Here are some highlights of the tools:
First pair of Proto slop-joints I've seen.
Possibly the most worthless .22 shells made. You can probably kill a snake at about muzzle distance.
All those plastic capsules in one of the drawers?
One itty-bitty sheet metal screw per. Very efficient packaging.
A trifecta of speeder bars! Challenger 1/2, no-name 3/8, Crafty 1/4.
And a lot more.
Left-behinds:
I could never abide a boring bar.
End wrenches and sockets are probably 90% USA classics. I saw a lot of Proto, Plomb, Bonney... etc. I just don't need any more, especially SAE.
The green wrinkle paint says SK to me. 17" long, 4 1/2" wide.
If anyone wants any of that, let me know. I'll stop by on the way to work in the AM anyway.
Seller was sorting USA end wrenches and sockets into sets when I left.

I've been in hand therapy for 9 months now. Been watching the hammers l, mostly ball peins come, out which is quite funny. My daughter works in this clinic and actually brought in some claw hammers to have them pick up and swing and you get to seevthat you are doing much better post surgery then you realize.Update:
Key Hammer Exercises
- Pronation and Supination: Sit with your forearm resting on a table, holding the hammer handle with the head pointing up. Slowly rotate your forearm so the palm faces down (pronation), then rotate so the palm faces up (supination). This Wrist Pronation and Supinationvideo by Physical Therapy First demonstrates the movement.
- Radial Deviation: Hold the hammer with your arm hanging at your side. Slowly tilt your wrist upward (toward your thumb) while keeping the rest of your arm still.
- Ulnar Deviation: Hold the hammer with the head pointing backward. Slowly tilt your wrist back (toward your pinky) to strengthen the opposite side of the wrist.
- Hammer "Pancake" (Putty): Use your hand like a hammer to press a ball of Therapy Putty into a flat "pancake" to work the palm muscles.
