36x20in laminate fold-down shelf, 150lb load capacity, $30 with free shipping at Amazon. I was looking for a knockdown side shelf for a box, figured this could fit the needs of someone with a smaller garage looking to maximize working space. It's also available on Sears.com at $20 but shipping fees kill that deal so steer clear if you don't have shipvantage. Looks like brackets to build your own folding/knockdown shelf (links on the Amazon page) are about $15 shipped, so this isn't the greatest deal if you've got material laying around but it looks okay from here. You'd probably be better off with a few hd door hinges and gas struts though if you want to build a folding workstation...

This probably isnt too slick for you GJ members, since you probably build these on your own... but Lowes apparently still has black friday pricing on their two advertised shelves - $49 each!

the 5 tier chrome one:
http://www.lowes.com/pd_71034-80752...urrentURL=/pl__0__s?Ntt=real+organized+5+tier

and the edsal freestanding metal and wood one:
http://www.lowes.com/pd_101933-1281...Ntt=edsal&pl=1&currentURL=/pl__0__s?Ntt=edsal

I'm going to be picking up one of each to help organize the basement/garage area.

At Sears.com, all Craftsman Evolv and select Ulti-Mate garage cabinets are on sale up to 30% off. They're the same aside from color from what I gather, and come as a flat-pack MDF kit with European-style hardware. I checked out the Evolv line when they first brought it in to my local store and it looked decent if overpriced, but I figured I could do better on stock cabinets if I waited for a closeout/return at HD or Lowes. Still haven't seen any, but I did get out of there with a big marble countertop cut for an oval undermount sink for eight bucks one day. I figure me and Lowes are even.

I put up a couple of those MDF-and-tin shelving units like the Edsal this weekend for oil storage, found them boxed new in the back of the garage. Still haven't gotten through half of the junk back there...

Anybody know if home depot offers store pick up like Lowes or Sears?
So far I haven't been able to order online and pick up in store.

This is surprising to me as I had the opposite experience with my HF grinder. I've got the one with the blue housing that sometimes goes on sale for $10. I don't disagree that it vibrates and is noisy as hell, but I've beat on mine pretty good for the last 3 or so years, and it's still kicking. I don't trust the cutoff wheels from HF tho, had one shatter once and knock the goggles right off my face. Also a good pair of gloves and good hearing protection help with the vibration and noise. I'd say I definitely got my $10 worth out of it tho

Similar experience for me. Noisy and shaky, but I got a good number of years of steady grinding before mine went belly up. I have a CM Industrial, a Ryobi, and a new HF one. I use the HF the least....usually running a grinding rock on it, and they're worth the $$ for the service you get.

Gerber MP450 multitool and knife combo, $25 at Cabela's with free in-store pickup or +$5 S&H, or $28 shipped from Walmart. I picked this up at Amazon a month ago when it was $30 and I'm happy with both the tool and knife. The MP400 tool alone goes for $34-39 without the knife, the package this set comes in is not holiday-oriented. The only drawback imo is the absolutely terrible sheath they include, but that doesn't take away from the kit's value.

If you are fast enough......

total is about $55 for both sets with shipping (not super saver) I don't know what I need them for, but I'm sure they will come in handy at this price.

These are non amazon, so like $12 and $7 shipping respectively for the GearWrench SAE/Metric passthru 1/2 and 1/4 drive sets. Great deal, but still up as of this post, but third party seller may be slow to show a sellout.

I picked up a set of both also. You guys are going to get my girlfriend to kill me. I am going to be putting these in a "road" bag and they will be a better set than my home stuff. I'm thinking I need to get another one of the bolt out set to put in that bag. Now I know she's gonna kill me. Thanks for the links everyone.

I just looked again, and they are even cheaper now, offered by wesco tools??

$16.15 and $9.95 (plus shipping) respectively.

EDIT: not sure what Wesco is up to, but they are blowing out a **** load of GW stuff?? all sorts of kits are at ridiculous prices...

Yeah the prices keep changing. I ended up getting all three sets (1/4, 3/8 and 1/2) for $65 shipped.
