CHICAGO POWER TOOLS MULTI FUNCTION OSCILLATING TOOL WITH 16PC ACCESSORY for $16 shipped from JC Whitney when you use the code JINGLE when you check out. I ordered one just for the heck of it but does anyone know what brand attachments it takes? It is going to **** if they are proprietary. This one is variable speed to unlike my HF one.

I left it in my cart undecided.
Apparently the price is up or it's now OOS.
oh well I'm not heartbroken, I already have the HF one.

Re: 12 pc Gearwrench locking flex metric set: $85.00

Great deal on Gearwrench locking flex metric wrenches from Cripe.
12 pc set for $85.00+shipping.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Gear-Wrench-856...305?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf3b510d1

That's about what I paid for my Stanley set (also bought from eBay). Though the locking mechanism isn't the same, it has the same general idea of a notched gear on the handle side which grabs on. Anyway, after some abuse, my 10mm and 14mm are slipping when near the straight setting. This being said, if you have muscle and use it on your tools instead of grabbing a ratchet, these may not be for you.

For my SAE set, I picked up some Craftsman (also from eBay) which had one which wouldn't flex (was stuck locked). Brought it to Sears for a replacement right away without issue. I'll be replacing my current Metric set with Craftsman for ease of replacement once I actually do.

Amazon has Popular Mechanics yr subscription for $6.99. The link I gave is for auto renewal, but the non- auto is avail too. Never used Amazon for the mags, any comments?

I've gotten a number of subscriptions from Amazon over the years. No problems whatsoever. I always hold out for the $5 a year specials.

Even though your script is auto-renewal you can change it on your account page after you receive you first issue.

I wouldn't really call this a hot deal but it's not bad by any means for USA made items. I found this via Amazon while checking another member's post. It's a 22pc Bahco set in either 12 or 6 pt standard. It includes deep and shallow sockets along with ratchet, 3 extensions, and socket/ratchet holders. $50+shipping for the set through Amazon, Rockler, or NT.

Hope you don't mind me mentioning the deal on TG.
http://toolguyd.com/2010/12/1-year-popular-mechanics-subscription-for-6-99/

I looked at my receipt and saw that when I subscribed back in April, there was a "2 years for 1" promo going on. 2 years for $10 is better than this deal, but there's no telling if/when that's coming around again.

stopped by my local Napa for the first time and they had 2 sets of the standard 5pc Gearwrench, no metric left. I picked up one of the sets for the 24.99. even though they are made in china, they fit well in the hand and have a lifetime warranty.

hopefully they will get a metric set in soon so i can get that as well.

If you have an advance near you I believe the 5 piece set is still on sale for $14.99. It is on their website.

I just went into Advance tonight, and the gearwrench are still on sale, 5 pc, for 14.99 if you can find them. I think the regular price is $30. I saw those x beam ratcheting ones. I have x beams I got from sears, haven't found a use for them yet LOL

Too bad no Advance near me :(

Was also looking to get the 3/8" deep wall socket set for under $15, but they have none to ship.

I saw one at our local HF and felt the drawers were light and felt cheap. Not poor quality, just not great. But it's HF so you know the quality there is just a tad off and the prices, great. It is in line with that...

Two on the floor in North Richland Hills Texas, at least there were Weds. Quality is relative and subjective. Come and get 'em....

I just saw a 30% off online orders for Lowes in Lighting and Fans.

Use code DIMWATT
Free Shipping on orders or $49 and
Free In Store pick up if available.

I quickly glanced at their website, and didn't see any fluorescent lights for the garage cheap enough. If anyone sees a great deal in conjunction, post it up.

I was looking at lighting for the garage too, but I think HD has better quality lights.

Did you actually complete your order and make payment, or did you get this notice during checkout?

I got the exact same email. I went online and chatted with a JC Whitney rep and they said that they only had 3200 of them in stock and they got orders for over 20,000 so they had to cancel the rest of them. I still haven't received my refund yet though.

Lowe's just pissed me off.
Found this 10 piece set for $10.
Went to the store, but apparently they don't match their online price
http://www.lowes.com/pd_278610-16878-50943_0__?productId=124040110

It says "online only" but I can't add it to my cart either, so basically I can't buy it.
It says out of stock for online purchase. I checked a few stores in another city, also OOS.
My local store has 6 sets in stock, just not for online purchase:headscrat
