Good luck with that ^^^, Let me know when you find out.
i think the op may have know what he was starting when he made this thread.

These kind of threads are becoming so tiresome. In my eyes Chad and Shaun have presented enough evidence to prove without a shadow of a doubt that Dual 80's are U.S made. Period.

I actually like that they took it away, simple and clean design. if they put the USA stamp, place it on the handle beside the model # like "F80 - USA"

I'd like to see USA on the head of the ratchet and the handle like all my other pear head Snap On ratchets, but USA just on the handle would be great. Also put the screws on going through the back of the ratchet head to the face, screwing into the face plate. The screws never came loose when entering from the back of the ratchet head to the face plate.
I love the dual 80s but I also have issues with the screws in the bottom. You could be working on something critical and a screw drop out and into what you are working on. I could just imagine dropping a screw down an intake port, etc. Don't know what they were thinking when they did that.
Making stuff up again I see. I have sold over 200 dual 80 ratchets and the only screw issue I have seen has been on the 1/2 drive where the screw broke under load.
Would loctite help?
At least with the older ratchets when the ratchet was rebuilt the plate was normally changed and it had fresh screws and threads.
The repair kits do not come with new cover plates. They never have in the 8 years I have been a dealer.
I've had the cover plates replaced as sometimes they strip out and Ive been buying snap on for 38 years, lol
But they are not normally changed out as you stated in your earlier post.

Why don't the mods delete these weekly asked threads about the same ****?
PLEASE use the search function.

I second that. I wonder if **** like this has driven away alot of our senior members to other places.

Until either of those happens, why don't we just stop talking about it.
Nobody has shown any proof that any part of the dual 80's are outsourced. Snap-On hasn't made a video showing every part being made in the U.S. Until either of those happens, why don't we just stop talking about it.
Please note that many items are no longer regulated by the FTC so what is or isn't stamped is meaningless. Th big ticket items will get the stamp and meet the requirements I think. The smaller items maybe not so much.
http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus03-complying-made-usa-standard
U.S. content must be disclosed on automobiles and textile, wool, and fur products. There’s no law that requires most other products sold in the U.S. to be marked or labeled Made in USA or have any other disclosure about their amount of U.S. content. However, manufacturers and marketers who choose to make claims about the amount of U.S. content in their products must comply with the FTC’s Made in USA policy.
So there are a lot of people on here who believe that Snap-on is breaking the law.
The FTC's made in USA policy has nothing to do with country of origin claims on a website. If Snap on were to actualy start marking them as made in USA they would fall under the FTC provisions.
What kinds of claims does the Enforcement Policy Statement apply to?
The Enforcement Policy Statement applies to U.S. origin claims that appear on products and labeling, advertising, and other promotional materials. It also applies to all other forms of marketing, including marketing through digital or electronic mechanisms, such as Internet or e-mail.
