When I add GW stuff to my Sears cart, the extra 15% does not show up.

It says get 15% off right on the item description page, but when entered into cart, no go.

What gives?

(I picked in store pick up)

I ran into the same problem for the last 30 minutes until I read that "Online price only items" are excluded. So the deal is only good for a few items.

Actually, it says ONLINE ONLY gets 15% off. I am going to try ship version instead of pick up.

The lady i talked to in customer service told me that the GW stuff was eligible but she could not figure out why it would not come off. SHe had her supervisor check said it should come off after checkout if not I should talk to store manager when picked up he or she should take it off. We will see even without it its a damn good price.

Good luck with that.

I figured out that they are picking and choosing certain GW items and labeling them as "online only price", thus not allowing the extra 15% off. That is utter ****. I can go right down to my local store and get 50% of ANY GW item this weekend, so without the extra 15%, the online "deal" is a joke.

Additional items may be excluded. Offer good through 06-Sep-2011

I just don't bother with Sears anymore, no matter how good the deal looks, things screw up so often it isn't worth wasting a drive.

I am beginning to think all there sale pitchs are a joke. There still good prices tho I am pretty sure they must be discotinuing the GW line why who knows with sears there not the same as 20 years ago.

I've yet to have a single problem ordering anything from sears. I've purchased my plasma tv there, thousands of dollars worth of tools, and ton's of clothes.

How is it you guys have so many problems?

To answer your question really dont know maybe the changing times. I was born and raised on sears and craftsman that is the only tools my Dad would buy and Mom would buy nothing else either for me and dad for christmas. Every saturday night we would go to the mall when i was young and head straight for sears Dad would get craftsman tools every week to put in his shop. You got to admit there customer service and quality has dropped off greatly from what it was.

The Labordayship code did not work for me until I had over $99 on the order, no clearance items.
My shipping was over $22, the Labor day code reduced that to $9.

apparently the free shipping does not work on all items. I had one that was clearance.
Also I did not get any 15% more off on my Gearwrench stuff.

I am giving up and going to bed.

I hit Sears this morning too

Scored the GW ratcheting 8 pc set in metric and SAE for $34 each. Same ones in the link posted by sdnomad.

Also ran across the GW 49 piece pass thru socket set (thanks to dankicksass for the comment regarding the 49 pc being a better deal than the larger set that has one less ratchet ;) )

While I was about to check out, I noticed the GW ratcheting snubbies were also on for $34, metric and SAE.

Walked out with a smile :D

whats the item number on the stubbys? i cant seem to locate those at 34 dollars! i wanted the sae since i bought the metric last year same price been waiting for it to go back on sale

Yup, saw this at my local Lowes. I was shopping for an angle grinder, had a Skil in my basket and bumped into this. I think they were $99? But then I thought, "Why would I need TWO of the EXACT same grinder?" and walked out with my $30 Skil. If they had a single Bosch at the $50 price I would of upgraded.

Looks like that deal is still good, But it is 4 SAE and 4 metric.
Says free shipping to store.

Now today after all the hassle last night they are taking the 15% off the stubby GW wrenches now they are $29.74 a set. Go figure.

Yeah, Go figure,
I forget what set(s) I got from Amazon a while back (Stubby's) but I know I paid more than $30.*** each.
I think the SAE set was pretty cheap, but I paid more for the metric.
Not sure what sets either, there at work, but think the metric might be 10 piece.

The true value set says down in desc. that it is 4 SAE and 4 Metric I am allready covered on those. Would like to have the stubbys from sears but shot my tool budget allready.

I didn't really find any deals worth mentioning. Most of the ones I saw were ordinary %-offs that they have every other week (Sears) or buy something get a small POS tool for free (HF), and similar.

I'm actually a bit disappointed. Maybe they're saving the better deals for October/November?

Tried to find the Sears GearWrench 75-piece Pass-Thru socket set earlier today; this is the message displayed when the icon is clicked: "Yikes! We're sorry, but that page is no longer available."

So, off to the nearest Sears and I got the last 1 in stock, opened-but complete.

Price was reduced from $69.99 to $37.44 with tax.

Thanks to who ever posted this alert.

This isn't really the hottest deal ever, but if you're shopping online at Sears anyway, Mechanix FastFit orange gloves are $9.97 plus shipping. Shipping on three pair for me was $0.75 last night, but I had the free shipping promo and some Gearwrench stuff in my cart. These are about $11-12 on Amazon.

These Home Depot Husky tool chests just dropped in price.

I have been looking at this item for a long time and have checked out reviews, the top chest is especially good and better than Kobalt's equivalent. Only $109!

My uncle who is a long time cabinet maker had good things to say about this chest.

The bottom 5 drawer chest is OK...They also sell an intermediate chest for $79. (down from $99).

This was posted a while back, but I was in the Sears clearance aisle today and the Footprint woodworking tools (chisels, carving tools, planes, gentlemens saws, flex saws, veneer saws mostly) were basically 1/2-off.

The Sears I was at is the Glen Burnie/Marley Station, Maryland, location so YMMV.

Here is the Gearwrench 75pc. set sears had on special got the last one they had. Got the bigger set because it had the flex head ratchet. I have a pittsburg pro set that has the regular ratchets in it figured that was the best way to go.gear wrench 002.jpg gear wrench 003.jpg Like the flex head ratchet it is pretty thin compared to a regular ratchet.

Some of you may of already saw my thread on this but its a GREAT DEAL! I will post a review on it tomorrow when I get my set, here is the link to the item and link to my original thread... I have heard no bad things about triangle tools from the people who received samples!

00912765000

Only $50 for the set, the ratchet alone is worth that and the set goes to 32mm although it is metric only.... the 3/8" set and 1/4" set each are more then the 1/2" set so it is a good deal... many have ordered it in this thread...

I bought all the chisels in various sizes, I think 7 in all, and the set of carving tools. I do woodcarving, so they fit the bill. They look like good tools.

Went to Sears today... and spent more money. I need to stay out of there.

I bought both the SAE and metric sets of 4 large GW wrenches for $29 each, and one of the GW ratcheting handle tool kits for $17.

They weren't marked down anywhere in the store. I had to ask the cashier, and he was surprised at how low they were, once he checked them.

The page does not work, but you can still add them to your cart.

I just ordered both the 49 and 75 piece as well as the stubby sets.

thanks for the heads up!

I also bought a bunch of Vicegrips this weekend. Lowes had a set of 3 for $9.99 and Ace hardware had some for $4.99 each.

I also picked up the two pack Bosch grinders too.
