wiha is a joke

What makes them a joke?

They make fine tools, but I don't care for the business model they have chosen to break into the US market. Most of their "dealers" seem to be web fronts that stock nothing (drop shipped direct from Wiha), accept no returns (deal direct with Wiha), but Wiha can't do a "real" sale because it undercuts their retail sellers.

OTOH compared to Hazet and Stahlwille, Wiha is the bargain brand.

Well, it's after 2:00AM central time--midnight Pacific, and still nothing on the Wiha site. FAIL.

Heads-up!!

Sears DoorBusters are LIVE!!

Online sale ends 3pm CT.

Well, this is unfortunate. Almost everything I've tried to add to my cart (wet-dry vac, drill bits, mechanix gloves, Gearwrench ratcheting set) has returned this message when I try to select store pickup:

"Due to high customer demand, this item is currently unavailable for "Buy Online, Pick Up In Store"; however limited quantities may be available for in store purchase at your local Sears store."

Kind of defeats the purpose of internet buying? This is in the SF Bay Area, all stores. Anyone else having the same problem? One thing I did manage to add to my cart was the $12 multimeter.

I see that, too. I purchased, and paid $8.99 to ship a set of sockets. No way I'm going to that mad house at 4AM.

I might go there at a reasonable time in the morning to look for a couple small items, but for those if they're cleaned out no big deal.

Sears took a dump on everything I tried to add to cart as well.
I'm taking it as a reminder from above that I knew I didn't really need any of it anyways...lol

I just bought the 309 piece tool set and 2AA flash lights from Sears at the doorbuster prices and used coupon code REALJOY for free shipping. I didn't try store pickup.

I went to Walmart to get a couple things and price matched the LED Mag Lights with no issue. I got one of the 3 D cell lights, one of the 2 D cell's, and one of the AA lights. I tried to show the lady my phone and she didn't even care to look at it, just asked me what the prices were and punched them in. Now I wish I had looked online more to see what other deals were out there to price match.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-2843276/15705804?findingMethod=Recommendation:wm:RecentlyViewedItems

This is it now, I have to stop.

Looks like the flashlights are showing up for In store pick up in 3 stores in my area, they were not at 6:30 this AM. The Geo Foreman grill says Due to high demand, Item is currently unavailable for store pickup. Limited quantities may be available in your local Sears store. The Camera says Available in 13-15 days, and the thumb drive says Available in 3-5 days at 300 WHARTON CIRCLE near 26003.

That is like the computer and monitor at Walmart , Home delivery says, 11/28-12/2,
but in store pick up said starting December 8th.

Funny thing is, There is a Sears at the Highlands, off rt 70 ,East of here, where Cabela's is, and I never knew about it.
:headscrat  :wtf:

No I am looking on line for a store locator, seems this is a pick up and drop off location.
What is a Drop-off Location? There is a phone # but they do not answer.

Well I'll go ahead and open the flood gates on this one. It seems Grainger is now carrying SK stuff. Most are at industrial prices so nothing to exciting, other than these two.

This probably a double post, but I'm posting it anyway.

Discount Tire Direct.

$50 off any set of 4 tires or wheels.
$100 off if you purchase tires and wheels.

In effect from today (Thursday) through the end of Monday.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/blackFriday.html

Also, DTD has free shipping on all their wheels and tires.
Cool, just ordered 2 sets of tires - one for the Wife's Jeep Commander and one for the 69 Camaro Pace car - both sets had active rebates on top of the sale price and free shipping too!:beer:

Now THIS is good news. Now if only the price would come down just a bit. Still, good to know they're available.

Wow, that 1/2 flex is $16 at Grainger and $68 at Amazon. I just ordered one, it says not in stock at my local Grainger, but "ships in 1-3 days", so maybe it's in stock somewhere. We'll see what happens.

Edit; got the order confirmation email, still says $16.69 and "ships in 1-3 days", fingers crossed.

I got two, one for me and one for dad. I got one, packing slip said other backordered. Well, here's a screen shot. Kinda funky. Especially since I only got two. I have no doubt its a pricing error. Just how long before they catch it.

I will admit it got the best of me and I got the shorter non flex. Even though I have the same one with an older diamond SK logo, maybe I can retire that one to the mantel :)

For anyone watching the 4Sevens Black Friday weekend blitz, if you purchase something, try applying the cpf8 discount on top of the 30% off.

Looks like Sears' A-team arrived for work a little while ago. The shopping cart / checkout experience is back and working properly. Ordered some gloves and drill bits...

Great to hear!

Some items, such as the Irwin GrooveLocks are still marked as sold out.
