Someone needs to go to the store and check it out then. The older version didn't have a wide drawer. It's possible they fixed some of its flaws.

To make it competitive with the HF box, they would have had to thicken up the steel a lot, put way better slides on it, and add more reinforcing to the skeleton to make it more stable.

I checked it out today and the steel is pretty thin. It does have the top wide drawer, but it does not seem very deep. In my opinion it is not comparable to the the HF cabinets. Very cheap feel.

I was hoping someone would have had the long Gearwrench metric ratcheting wrench set on sale.

Long pattern combo, or long double box gearbox set?

www.cripedistributing.com had some of the long pattern combo sizes.

Gearbox is on sale a few places, it just starts sky high. I decided to get the EZRed flex spline ratching double box set instead, same deal though, sky high even on sale.

long double box gearbox set I guess you would call them.
The ones with the offset box on one end and the ratcheting box on the other end.
I am guessing but about 14" long for say a 15MM

This must be them

That one has structural problems. It's just 2 26" units tacked together in the middle. Kind of flexy, even when unloaded, not a very good feeling to the action of the drawers. I was pretty disappointed when I inspected it in store. Between that one and the 13-drawer from HF, HF without ANY hesitation.

I agree, I test drove Craftsmans, Kobalts and Husky's and decided the HF 13 was much better than any of them. I have all 4 within 5 miles here in western CT.

Bought some Wiha tools. Dunno why. Lol. Never had any though, hope they are decent.

My first Wiha purchase and I gotta say I love them. I can't remember in my lifetime of holding a better screwdriver. They are truly remarkable in both fit and finish.

Hate to say it but I totally agree. For anyone not considering a used SO or MAC box the HF is impossible to beat. The guage of the new husky, Kobalt, Craftsman must be like 20 where as the HF is more like 14 in the drawers and 12 in the box and frame.

I looked at Craftman last week as they had clearance bottom boxes in the instore pickup area and one word came to mind, PATHETIC.

I was trying to tell this guy from work from the other shop, and he didn't want to hear it, because I did not have the HF box Personally.
That is the kind he wants, the big one like the husky and the HF.
He was all like Craftsman, Craftsman, Craftsman, Craftsman,
OK I told him.
Too bad about the Husky box's.
I got the 26" wide top Box at work, not sure of the model, It's from about 1995, and it is really nice.

Did sears have any middle box's cheap$$ Don't have to be anything great for my box at home.

Any Idea how long the shop vac at home depot is on sale with free shipping.
I don't have one close by.
The page says "Free Shipping Online Special Valid: 11/24/2011 - 12/24/2011 "

Don't know if they mean the free shipping, or the shop Vac or both?

Oh I see it says Out of stock on line.

Wonder if it will come back in.
I tried to call C/S but they were closed.

Thanks guys, so it's a smaller hose?
I think I'll just take my chances with it,
Think the Shop Vac is a little smaller too that is a plus.
Yeah, it's more for around the house/shop/car, I have this little pick up thing sometimes I set it up to a shop vac when I sand on the lathe, or clamp it to the bench when I use the router.
Think I have some of the larger diameter hoses around here.
Find/found them in the trash curb side a few times.

how do you like their bandsaw blades? I got in on that 12" hand shear for $89 shipped a few weeks ago so they've the ecommerce thing down pretty good.

The middle boxes they had were pretty flimsy, personally I'll stick with used SO and MAC boxes myself.

At the rate of Sears I can't see the CM brand being around much longer if that's the kinda **** they're producing.

Seriously they'd have more cred if they rebranded HF boxes!

That is a pretty good deal on the Knipex, but the shipping ($25) kills it for me. I'd be all over it if I could pick it up at the store.

Sears drives me crazy with this stuff. Their shipping costs are always excessive, and I don't understand why some things are shipped to the stores and others aren't. Why can't they just do free ship to store/pickup like other brick and mortars?

It's after midnight and still at $60 + shipping here, so I'm going to guess no go on the whole extra % off cyber monday thing on their front page.

On the Knipex Electrical set, I went through Mygofer.com and got free shipping with code JINGLE49. Also supposed to get 6% back for going through CashBack at FatWallet. Nice deal! Thanks!

I didn't get an email from them yet but i checked the site and it is still listed at the same price. I would assume that if it was a mistake it would have been removed by now but i could be wrong.

Same here but you WON'T be dissapointed, in fact I've moved all my CM screwdrivers to another drawer and the Wiha's share a drawer with my Macs now!

My Back-ordered date keeps slipping out. It now says 12/9. However, that was the 3rd one that was added that I didn't order. The other one says not yet fulfilled still with a due date of 11/20. Which was when it got ordered. One shipped though. Might have to give em a call.

The standard 1/2 should be delivered today.
