Any plan sketches or drawings to share with us and more details ?

I have plans but I am not a real whiz on the computer and I do not know how to show them in a post.

The garage is 32X32 with an 18ft door and a "lawnmower garage" 7ft door on the side. The walls will be 10ft tall of 2x6 construction and the roof will be a hip with an 8/12 pitch. There will be no attic storage. The garage will be insulated and air conditioned.

What is your slope of the floor (if any)?

Is the garage door 18' x 8' ? What quote did you get and where are you purchasing from?

The floor slopes 2 inches.

I don't know where the door is coming from, the contractor sources all the items and subs. I do know the 8 ft is $215 more than the 7 ft door but since I was quoted a price for the whole garage the door was not itemized. The reason I know the price difference is because I decided on the 8 ft door after the original quote. It is an 18' door.

for my own reference what is the total ballpark cost for this project? I am limited to 1,000 sq ft before I need full plans for zoning.

The garage will be all brick, insulated and air conditioned with an 8/12 pitch roof and it works out to $50 per sq ft

Mine is also beingn constructed in Texas, 12/12 roof, attic loft, brick, 12' walls and comes in around $63/sq ft. My foundation costs is a bit steep.

Can you measure the garage opening distance for me? Use the small 1" recess drop width. You and I are both using 18' wide doors and I want to confirm 18' 3". - thanks

Nothing new to report. Have been waiting on the roof trusses and there was a big apartment job the truss people had to finish before starting on mine. Got a call yesterday they will arrive Monday so should have something to report the first of next week.

I understand now. Maybe I should have stated "ready for the roofers". I believe they put the tar paper down before the shingles. I'm too old to climb on the roof, I just write the check and let the pros do their job.
