A lot of items have been put on clearance by Lowe's recently. As a result, a lot of threads have popped up about them. Please add items you've found on clearance in the following format;

Item name:
Price:
Store ZIP Code:
Item # (if there are many with similar name/description):

Hopefully we can get the ball rolling with this and have an easy reference when members go to the store or check local inventory.

I've been back to both of the Lowe's in my area. The electrical tool section (knipex) is bare as is the Nicholson file section. Good work GJ members. You made their clearance efforts a success.
Still waiting on more of the Channellock stuff and Greenlee to go on sale.

Knipex is gone, Nicholson is gone, only about 4 pieces of Channellock left (at full retail) pretty soon nothing but Chinese **** - at the same price as the USA made tool it replaces - pure markup.

No reason to even enter a Lowes (or Sears) anymore.

I agree with you, its sad they have Kobalt Chinese hammers at the same price as the American made ones. What a joke. I don't have anything against Chinese stuff but don't charge me 15 bucks for a hammer that they sell at harbor fright for 6 bucks? WTH

I often hear "people are too cheap to spend the money on US-made products". Especially here.

I see the situation differently. Brand-name products switch production to China, but the price doesn't drop. There is easily enough margin to have the tools made in the US, but they still go with the the cheapest supplier that makes passable products.

No one should be surprised that Harbor Freight eventually wins, when they are selling the same product from the same Chinese factory at a much lower price.

Lowes and Sears are winning, too. Their goal is to make the most money possible. Not to switch to China, drop their prices and make the same margins for no reason.

Let's keep Hot Deals for Hot Deals and not the ENDLESS, misguided COO rants.

I bought the Bosch reciprocating saw from a store several hundred miles from here, as it was out everywhere and "no shipping." I called the store and they shipped it for like $4.99 or something very reasonable. So worth a shot if you find a super deal somewhere.

I got one of the 2 remaining nailer kits at my local store today. It's a pretty nice set for a hobbiest/beginner, so it fits my needs quite well.

Almost picked up the wrong item, since they had the 4 piece kit (Item# 409407) on the floor for $119, so make sure you're getting the 5 piece kit that comes in the giant suitcase instead of the 4 piece that comes in the tiny box!

I actually ventured out for the Kreg router table, but they were gone... oh well, at least my nailing projects just got easier. ;D

Let me know how it goes, I'm not sure it's worth a 45 minute round trip to try and convince them to credit me the difference.

Call and talk to a CS person before you come in. Get their name. If they don't do it call back until you talk to someone who will :p

Well this *****, they're down to $91 now. I just bought one a few months ago.. Probably too late to try to take it back now..

Edit, their return policy claims 90 days, I'm gonna do some digging for the receipt tomorrow then taking a drive.

Buy one online, when you go to pick it up return it on your old receipt. Remember to use 3% back on eBates and a 10% off coupon.

Where do you get the 10% off coupon? I usually just get the 10% off in store(military).

EDIT: Well, guess that's not gonna work. As soon as I put in my zip code the price changes to $183.20.

Got it for $91.60, ($98.93 after tax). Had to change a few stores before it would change the price back. Tried one in MI but kept coming up with an error every time I would check out. Guess they didn't like the shipping to NY.. Sale complete now, with free shipping!!

Went to the closest store and they were able to do it for me even though they didn't have any in stock and their price was twice this. Didn't try for the extra 10% I originally had, figured another $33 back was good enough.

What's the quality like on these. Even if their mediocre the price is outstanding.

I've been using mine around the house quite a bit this summer. Installed a few new windows, built some screens and just plain fixin stuff up. If you plan to use them every day for 8-10 hrs a day then I'd definitely go for the bigger name brand. But, for the home handyman I think they'll do just fine. Especially for all 5 for less than $100.

One more thing, I never used a palm nailer before I bought this kit. That thing is my new favorite tool!!

How did you score the free shipping? I just ordered it and got hosed with $14 of shipping. Still a good deal though but my curiosity got the better of me so I had to ask.

Don't really know, it said $13.99 shipping on the options on the left but remained FREE in the total on the right. Final receipt said I saved $13.99 from shipping..

I picked a local store that was out of stock but listed it at the lower price. Got the e-mail saying it was processing bout 5min later. 10 min after that I got an e-mail saying my expected ship date had been delayed. The new expected ship date is tomorrow.. There's another Lowes about 15min farther from me that has 6 of them in stock but when I selected that one as my store the price jumped to the $183.20

Guess I'll have to wait and see if it ever actually ships..

Even if you paid the $14.00 for shipping it's still a great deal. The case is huge, the size of a suitcase.

Yeah man, absolutely. I searched the local stores' online inventory to see if there were any in stock-the only ones on the shelves were $183. The website says free shipping on orders over $49, but only on "select items." I figured $111 for five 5-star products is still a screaming deal. I might try and take it in and see if they'll give me my 10% military discount though next time I'm in the store.

Now I just have to figure out how to build some sweet cabinets with these things...

Thanks for posting the deal ShadowRuleZ.

I ordered the nailer kit from a store that had none in stock, but showed the price as $91. Was around $99 with taxes and free shipping. Just got my shipping confirmation too!
