I've been using mine around the house quite a bit this summer. Installed a few new windows, built some screens and just plain fixin stuff up. If you plan to use them every day for 8-10 hrs a day then I'd definitely go for the bigger name brand. But, for the home handyman I think they'll do just fine. Especially for all 5 for less than $100.

One more thing, I never used a palm nailer before I bought this kit. That thing is my new favorite tool!!

Thanks for the info; I really don't have an immediate use for these. I have a se of bostich / porter cable that run the gauntlet on air nailers that I use in a semi professional capacity and at home. I was contemplating purschasing these for my cabin; at that price its not worth using a hammer for some of these tasks. I have a compressor in the garage. I bought a porter cable pin nailer a while back and have found so many uses for that thing its insane.

A local store showed the 8" for $4.99 last night so I ordered them for store pickup. Got pickup ready confirmation and they had changed my quantity from 2 to 0. Checked back online and it said they had 3, but price was now $7.98. Went in store, they had my 2 sitting at the pickup counter (but hadn't charged me for them) and had one more on the shelf. Rang up $4.99 so I got all 3 sets. Sticker on shelf said $10.**

They also had some Channellock needlenose and linemans for $6.** online that I picked up (were once again marked differently in store).

Might be worth it to see if there are any local stores and have them scan the price.

all the good electrical tools where gone at my local store, and being restocked with the cheap southwire stuff when I was in there last. Channel lock is still on the racks though just in the tool section vs electrical, only a few getting discounts 2 being 50 off so I'll list those.

Item #:7006 CHANNELLOCK 318 8-3/8-in Pincers Plier $13.74 Was: $27.48

same store in lawnside nj

318's are down to $5.50

369crft are down to $8.60

the regular 369's are $9.34

they sold out the 420 9 1/2" channel locks at $3.25

swung over to the deptford nj store and didn't see anything left, I did find a straggler KNIPEX 5-Piece Insulated Tool Set marked 24.95 it was missing the slotted head driver so they gave it to me for 20 bucks, last one in the store I checked.

The Channellock 369crft were down to $4.30 at my local store (Dayton, OH). They were over in the hand tool section, not in the electrical tool section. They had 3 or so pairs left.

Just saw the Channellock 909 Crimpers for $3.82. It said there was one left at my local store so I clicked Add to Cart and I got a weird error message "number 500". I don't know if I'd risk the trip with my store being 18 miles away..

every time something showed in stock it was, you just had to get a clerk to dig for it on the top racks in the boxes, just cause the rack is empty doesn't mean there sold out.

I have 5 stores in 10 mile radius of me every one has different prices so I check the find stores before adding it to the cart, you might find more at another store. The one in deptford found a box full of kinpex red/blue handle long pliers with the 5pc tool kit stuck in it, no price on them and wasn't even in the system, I guess next week they will be on clearence, the kit showed as the last one in stock on the website though.

If anyone is able to pick up an extra set of diagnols I would appreciate it. I will either pay or may be able to trade for 7" slip joints if they have any left when I get there.

My store still had the 5 piece insulated set for $24.99. I've resisted up until this point...but I can't at this price. After all I don't want to lose money on the deal :)

$70.55 at mine. Mine, (Wheeling WV) ,never hardly has the deals.
is that a auto range?

I would look for a different meter if I was you personally. Those aren't that great of meters, especially in voltage accuracy. Amazingly this is one of the deals that my local Lowes actually has. The 113 is a very basic, China made, bottom tier Fluke meter. There are much better meters out there even for the sale price of $35 IMHO. Its only saving grace is that it measures caps.

If you want a good cheap, accurate, nearly indestructible, basic meter. Look for an old Fluke 27FM kit off of ebay. Should be able to get an entire kit (meter, leads, molded case, HV probe, manual) for <$60 shipped. Very hard to beat it for the price.

Yea, that is it. Here is the thing to remember about ebay and the used market in general. People can ask whatever they want, doesn't mean it is going to sell. ;)

A few years ago when I bought mine you could get them for <$25 shipped for an entire kit. Now the average is <$65. Do an ebay search, you will find lots of different options and prices. They are military surplus meters. Thus you have to realize the people selling them more than likely got them super cheap at a government auction.
