I picked up a new Williams 3/8 drive flex head split beam torque wrench that measures 16-100 foot pounds for $40 shipped. I think it's a rebadge of the Precision Instruments model.

Just got this in the mail today, it's not no fine tooth but I am getting hooked on Cornwell ratchets, for some reason these don't act nothing like any other 30 tooth that I have used. The handle is comfy also, .05 short of a $50 bill (brand New)

Nice Cornwell. I have that same ratchet, but without the flex-head. I just got a 3/8 Cornwell from Wrenchr that has Permatex in it and it is smooooth. Apparently those ratchets love it.

This is nothing. Think of all of the stuff people bought but, were either too afraid to post what they actually bought or thought they had paid too much for it, sort of buyer's remorse.

Thanks!

man you have been busy

Well, I now swore I wouldn't even look at eBay for six months. I hadn't bid on anything for well over half a year. Now with the economy taking a dive, it seemed like a few people were unloading stuff that I actually needed and the prices were decent...

Jealous...

Works well, too. I already used it a couple of times. It was $25 shipped, so I just had to get it to replace the crappy bargain bin special I had been using.

BTW, anybody know how to reverse it? It's set to loosen, so I haven't had any reason to reverse it, but I might need to at some point in time...

I'm still catching up on pix.
I bought this box a while ago from Ebay. I was the only bidder at £6 (under $12).
It was an old lady selling. When I got there she threw in two carrier bags full of spanners and other old tools - which I can't just put my hands on now for the pic. I'll add them later.
I felt guilty and was wondering whether to give her some more money when she recognised me from my picture which accompanied my daily articles in the local newspaper. She asked me to talk to her ladies' group about local history, the subject of my articles.
So we're both happy :)
I don't know whether to strip and refurbish the box or leave it as it is ?

Hmm,
I've just looked at a few and see that the webman has replaced my byline with "staff reporter".
Me and him never did get on when I worked there.
I'm going in tomorrow for a pint with my former boss. I think I'll give the webman the finger as I pass :)

Last I knew what he was thinking was "Damn, that Elson bloke is leaving with a pay-out and I still have to come in at 7am in a morning."
I had to complain about him ten years or so ago and I don't think he's ever forgotten.
