I helped a friend move from Texas to Fort Pierce Florida and we hit hit a few yard sales and flea markets since she needed furniture LOL. I picked up a few cheap tools and shipped them all back in one large flat rate box.
The Flohr 20 hog ring pliers and shoe form and stand were $3 from a sale only 2 blocks from her new house. There was the coolest articulating vintage cast iron seat that would attach to a work bench post there but at a $100 I had to pass. Didn't take a picture of it either.
The Estwing hammer was $2 and the two mini anvils were 10 cents each. The anvils were cast by a relative and are rough but cool paperweights.
The Craftsman wood plane has the oval logo and the wood handles were in nice shape. $10 (1/2 price) from a pawn store.
The second pic was from a roadside small fleamarket and everything was a dollar each!

Well box #2 from Florida came in the mail a few days ago.
Two machinists clamps, larger one is a Starrett, smaller one has no markings. $5 for both.

Not much for decent looking garage sales around here lately but I did pick up a bucket of tools from the pawn shop for $30 plus a Petersen and a Proto Challenger vise grips for $5 more.
Astro pinstripe remover, Channelock pliers and end cutters, cats paw pry bar, Sears timing light, long nose Petersens's, Stanley hand plane, Craftsman Crown pruning shears, Craftsman chalk line.
Irwin Qucik Grip clamp, German sliding bar clamp, ratchet screwdriver with storage for 6 bits, PVC ratchet tube cutting plers and regular tubing cutter, stainless mutlitool, 2 Petersen vise grips, Kobalt extra long nose plers, Fiskars pinking shears.
Nice Petersen and Challenger vise grips.

Can you post a pic of your top and middle boxes? You don't see too many vintage matco boxes. Be careful with that 14hp grinder. Sounds like it would be hard to stop.

!! That's definitely the same type anvil, and the auction was in MD. I'm going to look for the "dots" next time I'm at the shop. I hear ya about the "history lesson", but I can attest to it being 100% forged. I must of hit it with a small body hammer about 20 times to hear that awesome sound.
