3M general purpose adhesive remover.
3M general purpose adhesive remover.
3M general purpose adhesive remover. Comes in a pint or quart can, and you should be able to find it at most auto parts stores. Works great and doesn't harm the paint finish. It's good to have around for removing tar, sap or other sticky stuff from your car.
Eraser Wheel for the big stuff and clean up the residual with 3M adhesive remover. Done in 5 minutes.
I just did this on our SUV. I took it in for service and a couple days after I got it back I realized that they had slapped a dealership sticker on the back.
Scraped it off with my fingernail and wiped the residue away with Goo Gone.
Brake clean works awesome on sticker goo. it WONT hurt the paint regardless of what people tell you. I've done it for 20 years now.
Goo off/lighter fluid/similar stuff is mostly xylol/xylene.
