Cornwell cat4150.
Difference between the Snap On and the Proto in breakaway torque is 70ft/lbs (Proto having more) or 5%. Or in other words, basically nothing (sorry lord, 5% isn't a killing number). We aren't comparing the 600ft/lb IR231 to either of the aforementioned impacts. If the Snap On has more airflow or higher pressure or the high flow connectors and not the Proto it will have "more power".
The Snappy does consume less air for the power output, a bonus. Also the Snap On is USA made......Proto Tiawan
This new proto kills the snap-on and the IR. No joke!

What's the price of the snap on? The proto is on for 250 bucks.

I'll take the American made gun. Look on e-bay and you can buy them new for $200 and up.....cannot complain on that.
Thats much the same as the facom/mac daddy
proto makes the gun for MAC
No, fairly certain its a contract between Stanley and PTP. They're made in Taiwan and strongly resemble other PTP impacts despite Stanley's claim that it was designed "In house". The trigger and reverse lever design is a dead give away-nearly identical to other impacts likw the CAT line from Cornwell.
I was under the impression that facom made the gun originally

Problem with the snap on is the balance. Go pick up a proto before you dismiss it.
Or are you one of those kool aid guys?
.
i'll take ingersoll over so impacts all day.
Of the ones i've had (paper specs aside)
AWP050 (versions also rebranded under Proto, Facom, and Sidchrome)
MG725
2135QTIMAX
in that order. The MG725 falls to third place with the muffler installed, both impacts are so close in power its honestly a toss up, certainly no clear cut "winner". The AWP has a little bit more brute force.
