Pictures of the family are nice to see, you have a beautiful wife and daughter. You are very talented, and blessed, and have lots of cool stuff.
Put some blood shot eyes on the tiki guy, he looks like a party guy. The one on the bottom is probley how he feels the next morning

Hi Herb, Thanks for the kind words, a mate said the same thing about the eyes on the tiki so i might have to do that, i will be doing everything on the model T but i am waiting more bits from the owner, i have a couple of other projects on the go that are keeping me away from it but hopefully soon i will have a chance to get back on it, as for the height of the chop he did the initial cut so i just had the job of trimming it up and welding it back together, he has a few of them and new how much he wanted taken out which has made it easier for me.

I have had the Texaco sign for along time now and it was one of my first to collect so i sought of blame it for my collecting habbits.

Does your friend with Mcdonalds stuff have a thread on here Don or he a bit more private with his collection?

I thought you couldn't possibly want everything at the swaps so we just get the scraps that you leave behind i swear. anytime you want to come over to my back yard and pick let me know and i will be glad to help you spend your money

So on the weekend the weather was a bit average so i thought i would build something i have always wanted, all recycled so doing my part for the environment.
I wanted a flywheel but had to settle for a converter than old tailshaft and a couple of rods and pistons, a bit of blasting and sanding and a splash of colour, sent a couple of pics out to guys that always want to know what i am doing and vise versa and now it looks like i will be making a couple.

That is COOL!!!!!! Never realized they made fans also. The Stromberg Aeroquads were quite something on the first 53 Buick nailheads. I assume you get a lot/most of this good stuff from the US. My question, how the heck do you affor SHIPPING. You must get it shipped in a container?

Hi anth, swap meets are a great place to get a bargain but you have to be at the start of the line sometimes and power walk them like a marathon but it makes it worth the while when you bring home a bargain.

I don't get alot of stuff from America direct, i did purchase a bit when i was over their and i also have a couple of mates that go over regularly and bring back a 40' container of goodies but things like the fan and alot of others are found locally out of old workshops and petrol stations or sheds, i do like to do a bit of traveling when i get a chance so i do all the secondhand shops and antique shops when i am out.

I will do so but it might be a while as other projects are slowing the progress down on the old girl.

Time for an update GJ people, i had a friend drop in the other day with some oil drums, they stand 6 foot tall and he had 10 of them so i grabbed them all as i knew other mates would want one, they sure take up some space though.

I also went to a local market and found a piston and rod that i couldn't leave behind for $20.

I didn't enjoy carrying it back to the car but my doc likes the business

Also over the weekend i was able to find a couple of other signs to fill up the walls, nothing crazy but the prices where write.

Also while i was out and about i met up with a gentleman who has offered me a job running a restoration shop for him, i won't go into to much detail until it is all finalized but at this stage it looks promising. If all this goes ahead i will be having a bit of a garage sale as the job offer is not local and will require me to travel 7197 miles, that should help you guys out with guessing.

I think it's doable but that international date line really messes things up. If it's a direct flight you can leave Australia Monday morning and get to the shop a little before you left on Monday morning but when you leave the shop Friday evening you arrive back in Australia Sunday morning. You'll also have a ton of frequent flyer miles....

Hi GJ's, i haven't had a lot of time to get on here lately and upload any pics of my latest finds, but i have had enough time to look at some of the other threads, this place is crowded with some great garages/sheds and some great ideas.
Anyway i thought i would put up some pics of my latest finds, i will upload some more in the next couple of weeks when they arrive from America as well. It also looks like i will being getting the opportunity to go and visit Don's garage in the next couple of weeks if all goes to plan so that will be a big tick off the bucket list, suitcase is packed full of vegemite and milo.
Recently i found a little honda k100 for the wife to learn on, it was a bit of a barn find and it is a little ripper, put fuel in the tank pulled the choke and it started on the second kick, cleaned out the carby and now it starts on the first kick and idles like a brand newy

Also purchased another cash register from the States this one is from 1894 in great working condition.

Also an item that i have tried bidding on over the years and had no success in winning, a limited eddition 50th anniversary Halibrand clock. They only made 100 of them for the Mickey thompson Challenger 1 that he raced at Bonneville salt. I think it will be the dearest clock that i will ever own
It stands 24 inches tall and about 3 inches thick and made out of magnesium

Thanks, but i think what's coming over in the next container is one of my best scores of the year, price was great and the guy even delivered them to the shippers for free, hopefully i will be buying a lot more from him as he digs around a lot of old farms and unearths some cool items.

Back again with some of the other items i have come across lately, so at this stage it looks like i will be renting out my property to my brother, so it looks like i will have to build another shed to hold 3 more vehicles and some of my garage equipment. I am planning on building with a timber sleeper floor using concrete beams to keep them off the ground, i am trying to make it look like an old Aussie garage, i will be using old rusty iron and a lot of timber as well. It will be built in between other commitments so it might take a while.
So here are some of the latest little scores i have found that will be added to the new shed once built.
