Here is an airplane hangar home that is a bit over the top but gives you an idea of the potential when all you have to work with is money. It's not mine but wish it was.

I just ran across this place today. He's a 1/2 block or so off the main road I ride to/from work. So I saw the little Café recently & had to check it out a little closer. I don't have any real details, but it's listed in the county records as a 1600 sq ft & a 3k sq ft building (one is behind the big one in this pic), one of which has a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1400 sq ft living space in it. I think the 2 "older" buildings are actually newer, maybe just something he built for fun? Looks like a really nice setup though. I might have to stop by & tell him so.

Looks like he uses a nice gang reel mower setup to whip that lawn right out. Also notice the old phone booth outside of the Café. And the building on the right has 2 old gas pumps under the eaves.

Here's some photo's of a place I did some work on five or six years ago. It's actually two pole barns connected.

Not sure I could have talked the wife into it but I've seen some on Morton's site and videos that are really great looking. I'm sure I could have done an 80x100 or 80x120 for the same price we stick built out house for and then framed in two floors in about 40x80 and would have still had 4800 sq/ft or more of workshop and garage space.
