Hello I'm new here.
I have been eyeing this place for a bit and I love it.

I recently purchased this Cimco PZ/Flat screwdriver and I was wandering where is it manufactured.
I'm also interested in bits with these cross/flat combinations as I encounter them often in my profession.
So far I found wiha and felo but only long ones. Anyone knows who makes some quality short ones?

I hate all-in-one screwdriver sets with a passion, but this seems so well though-out and practical:

From fiddling around with it oozes quality. @themu PZ/FLat bits included.

Got a good deal on these cause they were a display unit and missing the box. Not that I really need more precision drivers:

bought these at auction a couple of weeks ago. Terrible pics from an iPhone 3GS in a factory with no lights on.

Have yet to get them home. The compressor is 3 phase 7 hp, and seriously heavy. The mig is no lightweight either.
The mig came with a 3M fast glass helmet
GMF bench grinder is smoooth. Nice cast base

I´m not sure where the new Bosch bench grinders are made (China ?). At least the design is from China :)
http://www.coroflot.com/beckyliu
The older ones were made in Bulgaria. The Metabos are from China. These are made in Germany: Rema www.reichmann.com and Greif www.greif-on.com

I think I found a Bahco unicorn, made in Sweden:
really ? :) coo anywhere on the tool/package ?

Hi Monte,
What is your experience with this primer?
Has it got some filling capacity?
Thanks!
a little bit :) It´s better than the 3€ or 4€ rattle cans, but still thin (compared to a spray gun). If you paint wet-on-wet or sand very lightly then its ok if you have a virtually perfect surface. If i have to cover holes or scratches i now use this "stucco spray" (spray on bondo/body putty). After a couple of coats it covers good (for a rattle can):

There was certainly no COO from the manufacturer on the package. And if there is one on the tool I couldn't see it (not with me right now). Distributors here are required to put their own declaration on each item with the COO along with other info. Not sure if it's by law or some stores require it. And so far from what I've seen from the Bahco distributor they are very accurate with those.

Some wrenches - Argentina
Files - Spain
Some hack saws - China

Searching the model online says made in Sweden everywhere where they mention a COO. Also, this thing used to be freaking expensive for a drywall saw. I bought it because it was on clearance, so they could have had it for a while. Expensive tools are not the most sold items in the store where I bought it :).

The odd thing is I saw Sweden as the COO on their stranded cable cutters. I can't remember whether the other pliers were Spain, France or China, but these were the odd one in the bunch.

I haven't posted here in a while. But it's not often that you get tools made in FRANCE. New Old Stock Facom Engineer's hammer, 1.14Kg = 2.5 pounds. It's almost too pretty to use, but when something needs bashing, it's going to get bashed. The next step up is a six-pound sledge.

over here there is no coo on that specific tool so i thought it might be from Japan or Taiwan or "worse" ;) :D

Several carbide cutters.
Wow! What do you use it for? Are they really essential for some kind of jobs?

Recently bought Gedore Xline screwdriver set just because I need precision screwdrivers. Quality should be better for sure. Original Taiwanese sets have equal or better quality. No COO, no any information about this set on internet, but anyway I don't think it's knock off. You can see warping of the rubber handle and burr on the bit.

And some Connex pliers. They are very good.

Those precision cutters are used in electronics, and jewelery making. The type of cutter is essential when you need to trim terminals from components when soldering, cause they make a nice flush cut.

I don't know about the Gedore Xline. The regular Gedore precision screwdrivers are made in Slovenia by Unior and they are very good, I've had a Unior branded set for years. IMO the tips are comparable to Wiha, just not that refined handles. So they're probably outsorcing the Xline as well to someone else.

No, he's not sleeping, and that's where he curled up to die. I moved house a couple of months ago and I still have a few plastic bins of tools I hadn't put away until today. This little guy seems to have found his way into one of the bins, but not back out. He made a meal out of my new, unused Thor hammer :)eek: ), some bits of plastic, foam packing, and a large silica gel desiccant packet (maybe that's what did him in eventually?). He also weed and pooped all over the contents; it absolutely reeked of mouse-pee. I wore gloves and a mask for the clean-up.

The Connex pliers are made by OrbisWill. They sure are fine pliers.

I bought myself some VDE-insulated pliers from Orbis.
All from the EvoLine. They work very well.
My favourite is the curved long nose plier.

And I bought a new installation plier called TriCut made by Wiha.

I think they are made in Vietnam (PRV) but I am not sure.
Nonetheless these pliers amaze me. They work incredibly well and to my surprise Wiha has IMHO the best grips on the market.

Some old Knipex and Stahlwille comibination pliers:

The Stahlwille ones are NOS from pre-1990.

It could have been worse!

An electrician friend of mine left some tools in a barn he was wiring.

A week later and he found that rats had nibbled all the soft coating off his soft handled screwdrivers! One MORE reason not to buy soft handles!

You can get replacement hide inserts for those Thor hammers. MSC keep them, among others!

Hi.
Back to Gedore Xline. I was wrong, I've found out that it's knock off. The packing says: "...for Apple Macbook,..., Iphone,...". And I thought that Gedore wouldn't put any third party trade marks on their packing.
So this would be heads up: beware of suspicious looking Gedore tools.

Love the idea of those. They're a pretty unique take on all-in-one installation pliers. I think all Wiha pliers are forged in Vietnam. But, I think all VDE tools are finished and tested in Switzerland.
Wiha has the best comfort handles on pliers. It's a shame the cutting edges on some models are not very sharp and the joints don't work as smoothly as Knipex or NWS out of the box. Still worth the money.

Got me some Wera bits to try out

Very nice fit on most screws.
These MultiConstruction drill bis are so practical, didn't know they were made in Germany

Any info on these? Doesn't say either Solingen or Germany.

Figures. Only the Knipex branded sell at 2-3 times the price of the NWS.
They're as expensive as the forged German made NWS in some stores.
the Knipex is definitely nicer than the NWS.

picked up some files:
various files from Pferd, **** and Nicholson:

I doubt the NWS are Japan, but you never know. The Knipex, maybe, usually their rebranded stuff is very high quality. Still I can't justify paying that much for a stamped steel stripper/crimper.

That **** file :pimpflash

How are Nicholson files compared to Spanish Bahco?

 Yes, lovely **** file. Gotta love that name  Very good kitchen knives too.

Btw. The "Pferd" file brand is a part of the **** group. Same same.
And, AFAIK, most Bahco files are made in Portugal at the former Öberg plant (Öberg was originally a swedish company).
