Why did you only receive a partial refund on the floor? I'd be wanting a full refund if the floor is defective.
Talk to a lawyer of your own before signing that document. Also you have a TSX, S2K, NSX, and a M5? Wow if so!
Did your house not have a garage at all when you bought it? I ask because that looks like an upscale neighborhood that wouldn't have a home without a garage.
Sorry to hear about the floor. I would calla lawyer for sure. I would NOT sign that BS doc for sure. You hired him for a durable garage floor finish, he provided a shiny coating that is maybe suitable for a wall. I think you should be able to get all your money back, maybe even get him to pay someone else to grind it off.
98 NSX TURBO? I thought they were a high compression V6... Are you running low boost or did you drop the compression?
Nice collection of cars for sure. I love the mural idea too.
Haven't actually received the partial yet. He sent me a legal document to sign in order to get the refund. It basically states that I have to agree that I will no longer hold him responsible for the condition of the floor and that I will not post any "defamation" of him on social media, online, etc... including his "trade"...which I assume means I'm being asked to not even comment on the job in general. I have refrained from mentioned the installer or the vendor at all because I am a grown-a$$ man and am fair. Yet the mere fact that he is asking me to sign this to partially refund me for a job that clearly he wouldn't dare put photos of on his website (you should see some of the slick looking jobs in his portfolio...makes you wonder why mine looks like ****) is frankly offensive and condescending. Maybe it's because I'm not a much older, much wealthier client. Did I mention the installer brought over a potential client to see our floor while it was being finished without asking us? (while we were at home too). She even said "Oh, well I'm very glad I came and saw this first". Talk about making me feel better...
My wife is massively pissed now that we've received this legal document to sign to "get our partial refund"...
Is there a reason you did not use 100% solids epoxy?
Not sure how i completely missed your thread. Awesome! Love your NSX, looks especially nice sitting on some CCW's.... Can't wait until you convince your wife to go for Race Deck!

BTW how do you like that compressor? Its one i have my eye on when i upgrade from my 6 gallon. What do you use yours for?
Add another person drooling over the NSX. Always loved those cars.
Boost and CCW's. Can't go wrong with those!
Do you have a build thread anywhere on the car?
Sorry to hear about the floor coating. I would be just as disappointed.
You do many ATL get togethers? I need to get down there for another C&C. Haven't been to one in a couple of years now.
Looks like you have decent lighting going on. Can't wait to see it with the rest of the cabinets!

caffeine and octane (c&c) has gotten HUGE. I only found out about them a year ago, but even since I started going they got bigger. Almost too crowded to walk around, most months. Talk about seeing some cool cars though.
Love the garage and the cars in it. In for updates!
I'm just here to say I love the M5!! lol
NSX is nice and all, but I'm all about the other..
Garage is coming along nicely. ***** about the floor. I think half the battle with the painted floors is the prepwork before hand. The race deck should look sweet when done.
Get that paint knocked out now!! Something that will tie in the floors and cabinets.
That's awesome!!
TWO M3s?!?! Wow! Why did you go with two of the same instead of one M3 and one M4 (or 1 M3 and something completely different)?
Awesome! Love hearing about people actually taking advantage of Euro Delivery. I visited the Welt a couple years ago and got to witness a few customers taking delivery of their new beauties.
I sorta did Euro delivery, only because I was stationed over there at the time I bought all mine
Still nothing like cruising the autobahn in your BMW!!![]()
It is an amazing experience and the 2nd time I've done it. I don't get why most BMW buyers don't do it. The price is cheaper to the point where it usually pays for the trip. So if you are going to buy one...might as well get the experience. I guess most people are just too stuck on instant gratification.
I was stationed twice in the city of Schweinfurt. Loved the area, and miss my time I spent in Germany. Awesome oppurtunity to travel and see everything in Europe mostly within a day or two drive. Made for some great weekend trips all over.
What do you mean by this? I figure it would be the same price or more.
I'd love to do it once, but I've yet to buy a new one. I have an 11 335is, and the wife has a 14 X3 with M package, and pages, it's pretty nice.
Interesting, I figured it'd be more as you'd have to pay for it to ship to the states etc...?That is awesome! I really enjoy Germany. Been there on 3 occasions...the longest for a month but I can only imagine living there.
BMW European Delivery has a different price structure. There is an ED MSRP and ED Invoice which are both about 7% below their corresponding US market figures. For example, the ED MSRP on the 2015 M3 is like $57k and some change. Compared to the regular US MSRP which is $62k ish. The savings basically justify the trip depending how grand you make it.
The price structure is less supposedly because of the loyalty the program builds with customers. They believe customers will not want to buy a car any other way after they do it. Originally I thought it was a lower price because of some taxation and tariff loopholes but I later learned that wasn't the case (again...supposedly...).
Interesting, I figured it'd be more as you'd have to pay for it to ship to the states etc...?
Maybe I need to buy a new one and do it!
I would do something about the water heater sitting on the garage floor before worrying about making things pretty or there might become something real ugly, where does the combustion air come from for the water heater & what happens with a small gasoline leak onto the floor from one of the cars??
It is awesome. I researched very heavily before I bought it and had learned I needed a certain sustained CFM to run certain tools and a lot of the cheaper compressor brands lacked the needed SCFM (I think that is what its called). I use mine primarily for knocking off lugnuts and other large automotive fasteners such as on the suspension. I think it is a little louder than when I first bought it. I don't have anything to compare it to but it isn't quiet yet it isn't so loud as to cause problems located in the garage where I'm working.
It helped that I had a $200 gift card at the time as a wedding gift...or else I may not have been looking to spend as much as I did on a DeWalt.
