Pointless update just to stay awake.

The Number came back from media blasting. Can't say I am totally comfortable with the blasted look but it looks fine. FINE.

D13.0533s.jpg

Mind the gunk on the machined edges, its residue from the blasting tape.

D13.0534s.jpg

I give you the D!

D13.0535s.jpg

And I opened some stuff, I mentioned WAY earlier that I already bought all the appliances and they have been siting in the lobby of the house we live in right now. They sure will run out of warranty before I even unbox them

I follow sakurama build as many of you do and always thought the dynamat on the sink was such a clever move that I would copycat the instant the sinks were in. As I was moving them today, mind that I have moved them a lot around the house.

TADAAAA!
D13.0536s.jpg

Already soundproofed, well at least the small one is SUPER solid, the big one isn't as much.

D13.0537s.jpg

Maybe because it is VERY big

D13.0538s.jpg

I wanted rectangular sinks but I just could not pass the sheer size of this thing!

D13.0539s.jpg

I know a big sink is nothing to be proud of but I warranty you I have the biggest sink on the block!

BradDance.gif

A pic of the sinks I "meticulously" eye balled and modeled in solidworks for the renders

And just to prove why I can't live with flawed stuff///
Built a new pc a month ago and I was rocking it caseless on the motherboard box like a pro. My wife bought a case on the weekend.

I spent 10 minutes installing everything on the case and literally spent 3 hours cable managing the back of the case.

No one will see it, no one will care. I cut/lengthen/soldered and used 101 zip ties. Blind OCD.

This is awesome! And as a PC enthusiast I can appreciate a perfect cable management job. My cabling is great, my water lines inside are a nightmare! I demand a pic of the goods behind the cabling.

Love this build. Your house is awesome, congratulations on your baby girl!

LCG does not have OCD. He has CDO. It's like OCD but in alphabetical order, as it should be.

This is nothing close to a pointless update!!

No real interesting stuff happening just showing off some "stuff"

!

IT's beautiful! I love how clean that is. Excellent job, honestly given your attention to detail I expected nothing less.

Best of luck making it to the finish line.

Said a couple of times that I would do something with that wood and here it is

I have not decided if I will leave it like that, clear it or stain it but I LOVE it.

That's what I do when I build a PC too, I'm glad I'm not alone!

:rocker:

Your house/garage will become legendary. I'm sure of it.

The house already is a legend among the neighbors.

Once upon a Time a house was being built, in the mean time many houses were built around it. Some say it was never finished, some say the owner lost his mind

House done yet?

Answer: No

Excuse:
I am a true perfectionist and when things don't go the way I expect them to go I get stressed/burned/pissed breakdown style.

Excuse of the Excuse:
A lot of things are not done correctly and I wanted them to be flawless.

Result:
Disappointment

Result of the Result:
Halted the house, counted to exactly 1'345,000 and took deep breaths for 15 days.

15 Days later:
I called a couple of friends that had friends that had cousins that had friends that built houses. 2 guys came as a favor and I asked for advice on the finishing. Both were very helpful and gave me proper advice.

Advice in their words:
A house can't be flawless and when you actually live there you won't care about the flaws.

Advice as I understood:
Stop caring about details and just finish already.

I realize this is an old post but I've been a bit absent and am trying to catch up. If this would fit, I'd but it on a T shirt. So true!!

The house looks fantastic!!

Haha, This is VERY new, Just got renders past Thursday, and sent them yesterday to HOA.

I'm asking for permission to change the exterior of the house. It just looks ultra DULL now.

Today I met with the "Build Police" of the HOA and got pre-authorized, just have to sign new blueprints.

This will be the new face of the house. minus some trees.

I was excited with the old renders and It ended up looking pretty dull on REAL 3D, so I hope this plan delivers a better look.

I came here to post a "booing" gif, but now that you've posted an update, it wouldn't be relevant. New render looks great! Are you going to have a softer decline on the driveway? Might be an issue for low cars.

You deserve one too, when are we going to meet lil'anth, I have searched on all the tabloids of australia for pictures but I guess you are not as famous there as on the internet

The decline is 3 stepped, the camaro went in touching front lip but no scrapping, however I could not do anything to the massive curb angle. Maybe once I destroy it with headers and undercarriage they will understand I have a problem.

The new face looks amazing!
