Jon
My garage is a 20X30, with two overhead doors. It is rather tight side by side for two vehicles, although I have parked my GMC short bed and wife's Tahoe in it without much fuss. Later, I got an extended cab truck and that would not go in, as I have the back ten feet of the garage as another room. So in effect for cars mine is 20X20.
After I got the too long truck, I decided to have a half garage and half shop. I like that the best of all. My Subaru goes on the right side, and I have the whole left side for shop area, which I have filled if you have seen my photos. If I did not have the back ten feet in another shop, I would effectively lose about 32 feet of wall space, by having both sides of that separating wall gone.
I think an ideal size would be a 24X24 square with one 18' wide door. One could put the bench and tools to the front that way. Finding something perfect is probably not in the cards for most people, but like yourself, I am happy with what I have.
You have a beautiful car in that 72 Vega!!
Best Regards
Herb
