Let me decompress first but cutting up some metal and I'll get back to you in a few years. For sure, I'd give some advice to the NEXT guy doing the group buy. Perhaps I should write a book on it!

My wife has been awesome. She has no idea of the Paypal snafu so the less she knows, the better :)

What she thinks I do:

  1. Collect funds
  2. Send funds to mfg
  3. Receive products
  4. Send out products

What I actually do:

  1. Get quote from China
  2. Get quote & enter contract with broker
  3. Set-up a web-based payment system
  4. Scrapped web-based payment system
  5. Invoiced everyone individually
  6. Collect funds
  7. Deposit half of the funds
  8. Get notice from Paypal
  9. :headscrat
  10. Call Paypal
  11.
  12. Call Paypal again
  13.
  14. Call Paypal again
  15. :shocking:
  16. Call Paypal one more time
  17. :rocketwho
  18. Realized that I'm not getting anywhere with Paypal so it's basically...
  19. :deadhorse
  20. Scramble
  21. :willy_nil
  22. Figure out a new plan
  23. Disconnected first half of the "train"
  24. Email everyone on the derailed portion of the train
  25. Collect MO payments
  26. Send final deposit
  27. Pay broker directly
  28. Get cutters
  29. Repackage cutters with consumables
  30. Ship out cutters
  31. Send proof of shipment to Paypal
  32. Then

Sean you have done great on this and I appreciate it very much. The above statement sums up the amount of work. Started as a challenge turned into an adventure. The concept sounds easy. Execution is the hard part and you succeeded. All I have to say is Thank You:thumbup:

I received my PayPal refund and my emailed instruction on the plan forward. Sent the money through the mail as instructed in the email. I never would have seen that train wreck coming. All I can say is great recovery and thanks for once again recovering the fumbled group buy and helping to make this thing happen!!!:thumbup:

Now... on to the next matter at hand.. I am in!!

Folks,

Got a bunch of MO's that came in. I updated the list to indicate refund status of Paypal and payment via MO in place. Take a look to note your status.

On April 2nd, I'm making my final payment to get the ball rolling on China's end to get the cutters on the boat and shipped to me for distribution!

Thanks for the positive comments, I appreciate it!

Thanks for the update. Has anyone passing this on to the Bronco forum to make sure they know what is going on?

Done.

And after a quick count of the list it looks like about 170 are in & paid at this point. Approximately 50 are still in the "Paypal refunded, might send MO group".

Ok,

Other than a few members whom I have direct connection with, here are the final tally that was sent to China...

198 cutters
384 sets of consumables
314 cups

I should be making the final wire transfer today if I get a confirmation. I'm assuming that they will be here near the end of April. Originally it was to be here mid April but with the Paypal snafu, it was delayed by two weeks.

I'll keep posting progress.

Thanks folks,
Sean

Browsing eBay this morning it looks like these plasma units have crept up in price ~$100 since this deal got off the ground. This deal is getting better all the time!

Probably because some bunch of yahoos bought up half a production line and it's causing a ripple effect in supply and demand. I wonder how that could happen ...:lol_hitti

New updates...

It's being assembled & ready to be shipped in the next few days!

Here are the pics of the actual units. You'll notice the absence of any markings on the machines. I was given the option of having custom logo on the machines and thought better than to put a "Hello Kitty" on the side of it and making it all pink instead of blue as you see here.

When it's actually on a boat, I'll let you know!

Anybody got any cart recommendations to hold both this and a small home MIG welder?

I'm stoked! Are you?

Sean

Sweet! For the price we paid, I could probably have dealt with a hello kitty sticker..

Pink would have been over the top though[emoji14]

Whatever the color though, I am ready to start cutting!

Sean

Since were talking chineese, might as well keep with the theme.
This one looks like it could swing it:

Personally, I have one of these and think the Plasma will fit in the bottom storage area:

P.S. I REALLY like this cart! After you change out the ridiculous safety chains for the tank with scuba tank straps.

Pin-up? Now I'm flattered.

Perhaps "Moose Metalworks" has a nice ring to it?

Here's a pic of my work in progress cart, my Lincoln mig will sit on the filing cabinet top, and the plasma on the top shelf. Made out of old bedframes mostly..uploadfromtaptalk1428531404151.jpguploadfromtaptalk1428531503254.jpg
Not a store manufactured one, but hey that's the fun of owning the tools in the first place[emoji41]

I have the cart with a Miller 180 on top and a small Hobart 110v P cutter on the bottom. I was thinking of getting the cabinet for the Miller and put the Cut 50 on the top of the cart. I think the cabinet is on sale this month.
