has anyone had both the m18 1/2 impact wrench and the snap on ct8850, has it really got over 50% more breakaway torque than the snap on? they are about half te price over here in the uk? i've lost my older ct7850 and i'm in the market to possibly switch to milwaukee?

Our shop mechanics have the snap on and a dewalt, the m18 blows them both away when it comes to break bolts loose on equipment. The snappy dealer talked big game until we said prove it against the m18. Our stuff is the fuel so not sure if that makes a difference.

I sold my snap on 6850 and whatever the 3/8 one was, 4410 maybe to get the M18 2654 and 2763. The snap on ones weren't even close in power. The newer ones I'm sure are better.. but I still think Milwaukee is kicking their you know what on this one.

Has anyone investigated the M18 promo in-store right now? You can get a free M18 lantern or compact battery w purchase of the 2701-22 compact brushless drill kit, or the LED floodlight or something-I-forgot w the 2799 compact brushless combo kit.

Specifically, does the register pro-rate the $79 or $99 discount across the items as it did w the $150 promo last year???

I ordered the lantern deal online and online it throws it together into one big part number, but the register would likely be different as the items are rung up separately.

If it pro-rates, you know what that means......and if you don't know, you don't care about it anyway.

Well ****....I tried to get this deal today for a girl friend (no, I'm not going to bang her) who just got into M18 and lives off the grid. I really just wanted to gift her the lantern and return the drill kit. Should have made the lantern around $57 after pro-rating the $79 between the 2 items. Feel free to lecture me on ethics but it won't be heard; I don't care.

Well, it did not discount anything at SCO and I got help from 2 attendants. The manager was really cool and told me to show her the promo card still mounted on the pallet racking at the Milwaukee section, so I did and she agreed it should have removed the $79.

The system apparently would not let her zero the lantern, so she put it at -78.99, thus it shows on the receipt as a penny. Now I DO feel bad IF I return the drill because I will have gotten the lantern for free. Again, if you feel my ethical line is arbitrary, save your breath.

So now I'm stuck w a 2701 compact kit and a free lantern. I don't want to return everything 'cause I really do want to gift the lantern. I'm going to either a) justify a reason I need a SECOND 2701 or b) try to return for store credit and order the 2nd gen women's jacket for the wife or the 3rd gen rip-stop jacket or vest for myself. That way HD still gets my $, and the jacket kits are almost exactly the same cost as the drill ($199)

Yes. Keep in mind that it is not a flashlight with a narrow beam, but throws light in a wide area. I found mine on Amazon for $64.00

That's just what I need, hows the run time on it? I ended up getting a 2 pack of M12 batteries so I can use one in the light going to be handy now that it's getting darker early.

Anyone seeing $100 deals on Milwaukee sets? I'm hearing about a trade in deal and my local rural king has a deal where you buy a shockwave bit set and get $100 off one of three sets they have.

Most definitely. I've been running a lot of Cat-6 wire up in the crawl space and I hang it from a clamp to illuminate the entire area, in addition to my headlamp.

I hate most stores don't have any charged batteries to test the tools out some do and some don't but I just noticed I had all my tools in the house tonight so here's my picture the M12 ratchet is the newest and the 1/2" impact was the first one that started it all.

I haven't touched my air compressor in about 2 years now.

Anyone got any experience with the M12 Blu Tooth speaker? How is the audio quality? The wife has the JBL Charge and she gets all pissy when she has to re-sync her phone after I have used it.

A while back, some guys on here bought the SWAG portaband tables, but has anyone heard anything recently on reviews?

Just bought a new Milwaukee band saw today and would like to know if the SWAG table is really worth the dough.
Hands down the best thing in the world! Makes that saw so freaking useful!

I love mine! It's as quality as a little speaker with a "bass port" on the bottom is going to be. I turn it on, then turn on BT on my phone and "bding" connected. I use it everywhere and I always set it on the fence when doing yard work.

I've had mine a few months. Went to use it today, I get a burst of sound when it connects, then nothing. Re-sync'd, changed batteries, etc. Nothing.

When it did work, it wasn't bad sounding, although my daughters $20 Hello Kitty BT speaker blows it out of the water.

Where is the best place to buy?

I went to the SWAG website and they show the 4.0 table is $129, and it's on back-order there, but their eBay store shows them in stock. So I ordered it from their eBay store for $137. Costs a little more if you want it black and zinc, but I'm going to just paint it red anyways. So I ordered it bare, and it should be here by next Friday. I ordered one of their plasma-cutter, circle cutters last week, and it seems to be a quality piece.

I was in home depot a few days ago and saw that the Milwaukee 2nd generation shockwave bits are on the shelves. At least I think they are since the bits I saw have the red sleeve on the torsion zone which is what the previews show. There was no indication on the packaging about them being new. However all the new stuff was in individual packs or packs of all the same bit.

Anybody know when/if they will release kits/sets with the new bits? I picked up my first pieces of Milwaukee M12 FUEL stuff last month during the home depot "buy a kit and get XYZ free" sale. But knowing that Milwaukee 2nd gen bits were coming I didn't buy any bits waiting for the new stuff to come out.

Other than the red sleeving is there any way to tell what bits are the old ones and what bits are the new ones?

I ment milwaukee. I should have been more specific. I already own the swag table. Bought about 2 years ago.

My Home Depot had one set with the new bits. I bet they either already have them or will get them soon...but they have to make space because the old bits just sit there. The general consensus is that those 1st gen bits sucked so no one buys them. I'd honestly wait until more reviews come out, seems they're better but only time will tell. I personally like Bosch bits but it seems Dewalt is the fan favorite. I'm hoping this generation bits are significantly better because I am a Milwaukee fanboy.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I just bought the portaband two weeks ago. It was normally $299, but the tool department manager at HD, honored my 12% coupon from Rural King. The discount basically paid for the tax and the pair of blades I bought. I'm anxious to get the SWAG table in, but I think I'm going to get the sides powder-coated red, and the table surface black.

Why'd you buy the table before the saw?

Pretty much all bits and accessories made by power tool manufacturers ****, you're better off sticking with dedicated bit manufacturers which **** on those mentioned.
