I'm still working on the brake project - but its almost done.
Came home from dinner last night and saw this - neighbors must think I'm crazy.

The rear brake project:

CodeRed - My SS is Cadilliac from the waist down! I had the CTS-V wheels on my G8 - and the 6 piston Brembos where on the G8 as well. I took both off before I traded it in. I never did the V rear brake swap because the G8 had a funky rear rotor setup that didn't fit the the Camaro or the CTS rear rotors. It required a custom rear e-brake shoe and to be honest I never wanted to get into any one off parts. So when the 15 SS came out with rear Brembos - GM made the rear disk swap a hell of a lot easier by offering a rotor that worked with the existing e-brake shoes and hub - making this swap a "bolt on". I did have to trim the rear brake dust shield - but thats not that bad.
The car will be getting an LSA blower setup at some point - but I have bunch of parts to collect for that - but I already have the LSA blower lower half.
Just read through your whole thread and really enjoyed it. Going through the same thing with my house at the moment. Have had many delays and we were suppose to close last Friday but have been moved to Dec. 1st. See if that sticks. Just had electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough in this last week. Suppose to have frame punch and insulation done by the end of next week.
Watching you move in and get settled makes me really excited about doing the same. Look forward to your updates. Going to check my local Costco see if I can find those LED lights you bought.
What kind of garage door openers are those? have a close up photo of it installed? Awesome place! and cars!
Lift mod time!
I really hated that hydraulic cart - in my old house I never considered mounting the power unit to the wall because I didn't really have the space for it. In the new house - and after doing the brake upgrade on the SS and lifting up the Vette as well - that cart had to go.
I had a few spots in the third bay that I considered installing it - one was the miniwall between the 2 bays, one next to my air hose real and air compressor - the other was in the corner next to my gladiator shelves.
The miniwall had no power outlets in it - and with it being on the back passenger side rear quarter panel - I would have to crawl back there across the lift and be stuck there lifting up the car - plus with how far the power unit sticks from the wall - the arms may have hit it - so that spot was out.
The spot between the air compressor and the electrical box - my other 220 plug would have been blocked by the cart - so that spot was out.
I settled on the spot near my gladiator bench. I mounted it high enough that my oil catch drum thing - and my trans jack can be wheeled right under it - and the doors of my cabinet wont bang into it either. Plus this spot is between 2 electrical outlets - and the 2 wall studs happened to be in the perfect spot.
The Drivers side hydraulic hose rests along the floor/raised cinder block portion of the wall - the passenger side hose is too short. I am going to run to Tractor supply tonight and take care of that. I plan on running it behind my Gladiator work bench and pop out under my air hose reel - yes it will be sitting on the floor flat - but that honestly doesn't bother me.

Delays really **** - we where delayed by about a month for stupid ****. Then you have the craziness of the move/unpacking - then the craziness of getting your shop setup.
I'm still not done with the shop - but I got car projects stacking up that I need to get done.
I finished up the brakes on the SS - my next project will be the E-Force install on the Vette.

Eforce? Why not a procharger? Those vettes make stupid power with a procharger. My buddies vette grandsport made 806 hp with a procharger f1c-91, meth, cam, longtubes on like 13lbs with the biggest pulley.Delays really **** - we where delayed by about a month for stupid ****. You could always get one of those things to cover a cord thats laying on the ground, so people don't trip over it and unplug it.
so paint or plasti dip? ;-)

Why not put quick disconnects on the hydraulic lines and just remove them when not in use? I would remove them from the lift and coil them up and hang them on the wall. Leave them connected on the pump side. Shouldn't have any problems with Air.
I hear ya. If I don't turbo my jeep im going to do a 2.9 whipple. Not quite as loud as some of the other roots blowers but still has a nice whine.Because I have never liked centrifugal superchargers - plus I got this E-force for 1/3rd of its retail price. I had a roots style on my GTP - and I miss that blower whine!
Looking good! Now get to work!
SEMA I'm jealous! Have fun i have some buddies out there. The guys from Gibson exhaust are a fun bunch!I'll get to work after I get back from SEMA...
If I don't get started on it next weekend - I will for sure drop the tank on Veterans Day.
