Glad to see you are putting a ford in a ford hot rod!!

I wouldn't have it any other way. Love the small block Ford motor. This is a 5.0 from an 89 GT. Set up with an edelbrock intake and Holley 650 double pumper.

Also, the old Workmate stands are great. If you don't have an old workmate, go find one. It is perfect for mating engines to transmissions.

Rover bed for my 3yr old son,

Did you use plans for that? If so where did you get em

Today just cleaned and sat on my laptop trying to design a barn for style "baby gate" for my stairs. Got it planned out and then hit up menards for the oak I plan to use to build it

Sorry, no plans, just a few rough sketches. I knew the mattress size and the room space and just tried to scale it accordingly. I tried my best to keep the proportions correct.

Played with Otto. Played with the phone from hell. It's actually on the wall and working. Looks like Frankenstein's phone with all the seams and contrasting glue lines.
Pics of both tomorrow. The camera's charging and the latest Windows update is biting the PC hard, so I'm using the tablet and it doesn't do pictures.

Hit a high of 19 today. Great day to fire up the generator and test everything out. The recoil pulled like it was sitting in mud, second pull it fired right up. This time of year I want my backup to run!

I had a Craftsman block grinder on my workbench, with steel and brass wire wheels on it, and across the room, I had a Dayton grinder with two different grit wheels on it.

Today I decided to reclaim some bench space and consolidate things.

I had some left over uni-strut in stock, so I used it to mount to the pedestal where my grinder was, and then mounted the grinder and the wire wheel grinder on to that.

I loosened the two pinch bolts that kept the top of the grinder stand in place, and can rotate the top to access whichever tool I need.

Afraid of the cars on the lifts pinching the battery tender cables and don't have clearance for the prop rods on the cars so made some hood props out of dowels and rubber folding chair leg tips.

Took forever to warm it up today being 20 out. Way too much metal in there to warm up.

Man, those gears in Steevo's head never quit turning, another awesome build man.

I ran a short bit of conduit with some boxes for power and coax for the new tv.

Got the front master cylinder banjo bolt replaced with a hydraulic pressure switch on the KTM. Once that was in I could bundle up all the wiring in front and get it tucked away to install the new headlight. Just need to get some hose for the coolant overflow bottle and I can start getting the tail and other body panels on.

Sears had this gladiator bench for $74.95. I did some rearranging. I've been looking at buying/building a shallow bench for a while now, so i'm glad I got to check this one off the list.

Built this riser box out of some scrap wood I had to get my bike off the floor while I work on it. Maybe next year I'll get a legit lift.

Probably 40 or so years ago, I built something similar to the pic I've attached. Only difference was that the full length of the top pivoted in the middle.

You just roll the bike up the incline, it tilts down, and the back flap flips under to support it. A metal top, a stand, or a couple of tie downs in the front, and you're good to go. I don't recall the mechanism to lock the flap in place, but there are a ton of easy options. Rock solid and I used it for years on all my race bikes.

Yep, I've seen that type of table on some other forums before. The one I built was thrown together with wood I had lying around. I'm just glad to be off the cold concrete floor while I work.

Decided to jump on the computer this morning and realized the monitor screen need cleaned, then I noticed the keyboard was equally dirty.

So the project for this morning was taking the keyboard apart and cleaning it. It's amazing how much ****, dust and dog hair a keyboard will accumulate.

Was about to go look at a great Suburban but now I'm stuck at home because my car keys are riding around in my wife's van. I am a *****. That is all.

Cleaned benches and floors. Put away tools. And hung a couple of sheets of drywall. Played with Otto.

I know I promised pics. I did charge my camera and snap a few, but my PC decided to take a dump today. It refuses to power up. Guess I'm ordering a new one tomorrow if it's not fixable.

Got started on the engine clean-up. Bonus, the ignition has been converted to electronic type.

Got to love the bolts in the cardboard trick. I always do that when there are more than a few bolts of different lengths cause I know will crank down on a long bolt in a short hole.

So a few days ago my 94 Exploder quit running. Rolled it into the shop today and found the crankshaft position sensor bad. Half an hour and a couple scraped knuckles later and the daily beater is ready for another 250000 miles ...I hope.

Over the weekend I started a fairly ambitious project (at least for my skill/experience level). Car is a 1992 Integra GS-R prepped for track days, it had a sunroof which was removed and the hole covered with a carbon fiber cap but now that I'm having the whole car painted I wanted to go back to an all metal roof.

Old roof removed

Mocking up the new roof

So far it's not quite fitting right, but it's close. Once I get that figured out the welding can begin - which should be interesting. I'm really hoping I can pull it off without just burning holes through this thin gauge metal.

Since installing my 4 speed Auto(4L80E) in my G body last week, This weekend I got started on the wiring, mounted the ECU under the seat, ran the harness to the trans, still need to finish the other wiring and run the TPS to my Carb, I made my trans cooler Lines(braided stainless)and got the headers re-installed. Also converted my new Shifter with a 4 speed plate and since Im Keeping my Bench Seat, mounting the shifter to the floor wasnt going to work, i made a pedastal to raise it up, kind of just eyballing here in this pic, but you get the idea of what its goin to be like.. oh and i "swiss cheesed" my radiator support, drilling about a bazillion holes in it to lighten it up!! I also have alum bumper brackets and a Glass bumper going on the car, just to get weight off the nose..

Looking good! Don't forget to test fit the glass/plexi before finishing. You could also use panel bonding adhesive and you would just have to tack the corners near the glass and save some wleding and water leaks. (It probably wont see much rain)
