Received a set today - China, of course. First impressions: - chrome looked good on the individual bits, didn't seem quite as polished on the ratchet. Sockets seem to fit the ratchet and extension well. For $21 shipped, seems like a pretty good deal.

Got that set like 6 months ago. The ratchet feels like junk to me. At least it can be warrantied easily if it breaks.

Yeah, it's no Snap-On for sure. But not bad, if it holds up. And it is warranted. Wonder if they plan on replacing the bits as they wear?

I looked at them and decided to pass. The only pieces I really needed were the E Torx sockets, so I bought a 13 pc Husky set for $25 made by Gearwrench/Apex. They are nice and match my Gearwrench Torx sockets.

There seems to be a surprising lack of deals given it's father day weekend (and Le Mans).

Ordered the knipex mini bolt cutters (again since they canceled my last one), jack stands, and a free craftsman t shirt with $49 purchase of any tools for $33 after using my $14 in points and the $10 surprise off of $50 purchase.

I was pissed off I missed the 32 pc wrench deal as the price is now $79. Already have complete sets of ratcheting gear wrenches with flex head and straight head. Since I went cheap on the ratchet wrenches I should probably buy quality wrenches.

Just came back from my local Sears. They have a XXL DeWalt heated jacket but still at $110 at clearance section.

Also saw this. Somebody got lucky.

Went to Sears last night.... some good deals on the Craftsman Bar Clamps.

Got the 12 inch for about $14 and the 18 inch for about $16. Cheaper than online. Make sure you have a coupon or some surprise points when you go.

I am a big fan of the Craftsman Bar Clamps, which are make in Slovakia. Here is one of them:

I believe that they are made by Wolfcraft and also sold under another brand or two. Monte posted up a video from the factory once:

You need to pay attention to the throat depth on these though. The 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch are indistinguishable in some of the pictures but are offered in the same lengths. I vastly prefer the big ones.

Compared to Bessey and Jorgensen, these are probably a step down. But for the price, I don't think that they can be beat. Miles ahead of the HF and Irwin clamps.

You used to be able to catch these at around 50% off here and there on the local ad. But I haven't seen them really discounted in quite awhile. Surprise points seem to be the best purchase method at this point.

+1 on these Crafty's. I have both these and the OEM from Wolfcraft. I think I did a thread or photo post about this a few years ago. IIRC, there were differences between the Crafty and original but the differences were slight.

I've bought a few in every size they offer. By the way.

Sears rubber garden hoses are on sale.
100 ft $39.99
50 ft $19.99

Great! Checking now. Hopefully haven't missed it. Need two of the 100's!

Edit: darn it. Missed the sale. They have the "Never Kink" hose but the 100' rubber hose is back up to $61. and the 50' at $33

I wonder how the "Never Kink" holds up versus the old school rubber?

I guess I have to be more vigilant. The wait continues...

My first post to this forum:

Craftsman Wood Long Handle Transfer Shovel - $7.29

Item # 07187048000P

Found this thing on the clearance rack in a local store with tag $9.72, rang at register $7.29. I got 2.

Great deal if they exist in other other stores.

The tap and die set is listed at 139+ or I would have grabbed one.

Craftsman 75-piece Combination Tap & Die Carbon Steel Set $99.99

No "Hot Buy" right now, so you can add a filler and use the $15 off $100 coupon to get it down to $86.

And for earning rewards, they got this Sears offer right now:

QB--Members get $10 (10,000) back in points for every $50 spent on qualifying purchases at Sears and Sears.com 6/24 - 7/10/16, up to $20 (20,000) back in pts per trans . Pts redeemable 7/11 - 7/16/16.
