^In stores sales are YMMV. If the prices end with a 4 (i.e. $21.54) they are typically a local store only type of deal and are a major YMMV.

They also mention potential Chinese companies

Husqvarna is a gardening tool company
Stanley / B&D & Apex are power tools and hand tools type companies

Will be interesting if Craftsman is divided among these three categories

Two years from now, buy yourself a Craftsman snow blower, will be from Husqvarna
Two years from now, buy yourself a pair of Craftsman Evolv wrenches, will be from Apex
Two years from now, buy yourself a Craftsman circular saw, sander, etc--will be from Stanley B&D

Not that different than now..........except.................Stanley/B&D still has hand tool operations in the US ie: Proto. Can we say Craftsman Professional?

That would be nice, return Craftsman tools to a good solid American made value brand with the nicer, yet still reasonably priced, premium offering (CM Professional). Not likely to happen though, I think the only reason Stanley BD still has US manufacturing is to satisfy the Berry amendment requirements for thier govt contracts.

Great deal(s) posting gdocktor3! The extreme grip 72T ratchet may not be SO quality but its miles better than any raised panel CM 36T ratchet and its probably a GW import variant

Got one at the beginning of the year when they were $10.00. Actually not a bad ratchet.

Was this in a normal Sears store or a Sears Outlet store?

Saw this as well while shopping for the pry bar and ratchet.

They were out on the shelf's, but gave me a rain check

I really don't need them, but ratcheting wrenches for $23i can't pass up, will make a great Christmas gift.

To bad all that stuff is store pickup stuff, can't ship any of it.

I guess Sears is trying to generate foot traffic in the store. Give those items away, to get people to walk in the store.

I've been doing good on all the 100% points back deals (especially at Kmart), but it is sad because I just don't see Kmart and/or Sears surviving much longer. Sad day, because my entire garage looks like the Sears tool department, and my entire kitchen looks like the Kmart small home appliances department. Most of the stuff was either free or I paid maybe 10 cents on the dollar for.

Seems like the deals from sears really slowed down lately? First half of summer I couldn't stop buying with all the deals they had week to week

Price $9.99 - $5.00 back in points

Store pickup only.

What am I doing wrong? I've never received more than the standard points back when I buy something online at Sears.

I've been a Craftsman Club member forever. I have a notice on a few items in my cart right now, "You could earn 12,565 points to use later" could be the operative word. I'll bet lunch there's no way I'd ever see those points back if I checkout.

Where is the magic button?

Well that deal was one I found on Slickdeals. Not sure how people run across points back deals like that.

The trick with knowing how many points you'll get back is to click "Review Order" on the last page of checkout. That will tell you how many points you'll earn after entering all payment info, etc. Once in awhile there is still an issue, so it's good to save a screenshot and if the points don't appear after 24 hours give them a call.

If you don't get it from a newspaper, then use the Sears.com Local Ad section to view Sears circulars.

The 100% points back tools are on the front page of the ad for 10/6 - 10/15. The online prices can vary from the circular prices, but the store prices usually match up to the circular.

Not sure how hot of a deal this is, but Craftsman appears to have a new line of nailers out.

18 gauge brad nailer: $59.99

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-18ga...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

3 pack of nailers: $159.99

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-3-pc...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

Points back on both sets, but the former is listed as a hot buy.

These look like they hit the website in July. Can anybody guess at the OEM?

I'm showing 10 bucks back in points on that $60 nailer. It looks identical to the cheap junk HF nailer I have. Anybody used this Craftsman? Is it a step up from HF, or same cheap throw-away nailer? I'd be willing to try it if it is a step up, because the plastic on my HF nailer is all sticky from the heat of my garage, and my hands get all black from whatever sticking stuff that is leaking from the plastic. I have to use Goo-Gone to clean my hands every time I use it.

Got the 17" Prybar and the Screwdriver Handle Bottle Opener for free with points and then just bought the wobble set - $2 after I applied some more points. Can't believe I didn't get in on this points business before this!

I got the SAE DeWalts for 23.**, but the metrics were only knocked down to 46.**. I'm thinking about cashing in my $20 off for signing up for a card or whatever. Anyone do this? Anything to worry about?

Signing up for credit card for $20 seems like a waste of the credit hit. If you buy enough that the other percentage off deals make sense that may be better, but i doubt sears will be around long enough to make it worthwhile

For those of you that go straight for the tool section like me and pass everything else, keep your eye out on the lawn and garden section. Sears thinks that sledge hammers belong in lawn and garden...? A couple of stores near me have one or the other 8lbs or 10lbs sledge on sale for $17 or $18. So if you need a cheap sledge take a tour through the lawn and garden section.

Don't bother looking online for this. It just shows full price. You have to go into the store. Man I miss the local ad site....

Anyone have experience with this impact wrench? http://www.sears.com/craftsman-c3-1...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2

Some stores around me are clearancing this for around $60. It's only rated at 200 ft lbs so I'm thinking it's basically worthless??? I already have a Milwaukee impact. I was thinking of this for a friend that is really strapped for cash.

If you put a Lithium ion battery in it I know it works great for pulling lug nuts off, (at least ones torqued to 80 ft lb) I know the owner told me it worked much better with the lithium ion battery though....

If he's zipping off lug nuts, head bolts, or crank bolts he'll be fine. I've had that one for a few months till I upgraded to the newest model that has the 3 LED lights and rated for 300lbs/ft. Main reason is that the kit included the largest XCP battery and the impact wrench was slightly smaller than the older model.

I have the older one and I did purchase the upgraded battery. It has zero issues with my truck lug nuts at 150 ft/lb. Had it a few years, a few brake jobs and a few tire rotations. That is a really good price, especially if you already have the good batteries.
