You guys are always a blast to be around.

Yep, they help me keep rolling along in the shop reset.

Only choices they had were red or green, so red it was. Their wheels so matching there doesn't matter to me. Don't know if it's Craftsman red. They have grease zerts on axle and swivel and were only $25 each, from the local pallet rack shop. Hell, two years I wouldn't of spent $100 on the whole bench, but you only goe around the rock once.

There nice heavy duty units, the brake lever is massive and they should be easy to use. It's not like it's going to be moved around a whole bunch like another cart I'm going to build.

Yep, these should carry me along just fine :3gears:

Here's another addition I added to the shop a few weeks ago. After first seeing this Craftsman saw here on the journal, i had to have one. I came across one while looking at some shop tools for my buddies here, but he wasn't ready to sell then. Well, he called me and was ready and that night it was in my shop.

It's a nice cutting saw.

That saw is nice. I'm glad you got the ONE you wanted instead of fooling around with the others.

You know you do have some other saws you can sell Shorty now that you got the one. LOL

Wow Craig. Nice saw. What other saws is Gerard talking about? you know I'm on my way soon.

I have three to move out.
My long time Delta contractors saw, a 1950s 10" Craftsman that I was going to make my main saw until I spotted the cabinet style and another heavier duty Delat saw that's not complete.

I also have a CM scroll saw, needs a stand and a motor.

I'll shoot you some photos.

I'd be happy to help you fill up the trailer:lol_hitti:beer:

Cb, if you want to help me fill the trailer, talk to some of those Hooter girls. We could use a few of them up this way.:lol_hitti

That saw looks like it could take a couple of fingers soooo quickly! Great score but.

I look at it like this: 2 HP of solid cutting power, nice clean cuts, of all kinds, easier to mate pieces back up.:lol_hitti

They all can, I really got to stop and think before using, as sometimes it's months in between cuts. With the shop layout I'm working on now, the saw will be wide open area when cutting. I'll have plenty of safe space when using.

Thanks for stopping in.

Most of the Hooters girls I see are FROM the colder states. I don't think they want to go back.

I haven't posted much, not much to show, just burning brain cells working out details of the layout. Much to the relief of Gerard ( non painter) and Shorty, ( painter, but tired of of my color selection process) I've settled on the blue that I'm using to paint all the boxes and anything that doesn't get of of the way.
I had originally paint one of Vidmars a Rustoleum 7400 series Alkyd safety blue. It has held up great, nice hard and still shiny finish.

0f25bbf6ab30b31125bb105d1087873a.jpg

I always wanted just a little darker blue, but the above shade was the only availible at the time. When I painted the pallet racking, I found the Tractor Supply Majic paint more to my liking and planed on using it. After a few months, I noticed the TS paint was dull looking and lost its pop. So the search was on.

I asked the Rustoleum guy for ideas, he sent me a custom color chart , which I finally settled on a color. I also came across a 1500 series fast dry Alkyd which drys in four hours. That's the ticket, as RO is notorious for very slow drying. It's about $52 per gallon, still cheaper than automotive and industrial paint in my area.

Here's the color chart. I'm going to be using #1854, the paint smear to left is the safety blue on box now, the smear to the right is the TS paint.
f18f79c3713ad9e2ab98e1913bc0dbe7.jpg

Anyway, that's my story.

BTW, I'm sure your bound to hear a couple guys here go on about how I've been going on and on about this for weeks, there just a little off right now, one been sniffing his own paint fumes and the other is in some kind of shock as he put his entire Craftsman tool box collection up for sale and a nice guy actually bought it.

I mean, it's just paint right? What kind of people agonize over paint.:dunno::lol_hitti

Thanks for stopping in.

It's no trouble... I believe at one point you where ready to shoot me about finding the Craftsman stack I needed to finish the Wall and changing garage around for the 500th time. Wait a minute, I painted a cabinet!!! I just didn't post it yet. I can't give away my master remodeling plan yet. Got to build the anticipation... LOL.

Painted a cabinet? Right!!!

Your plan will just change anyway:D.

On our drawings here at work, we track the revisions that are made so we know we're on the correct one. They usally are named REV 1, REV 2 and so on.

If you had been doing this all along, I think it would read REV 655, Volume 6.:lol_hitti:lol_hitti

Here's an addition to the tool fleet. I came across at a estate sale, wasn't really looking for a scroll saw as I have a Craftsman now, but it was in pristine condition. The estate sale crew knocked almost half the price off first day, so I succumbed to buying.

It's a Rockwell 40-440 24" scroll saw. And man it's heavy.
It is a variable speed, although it may need some work.

Now I just need to sell the Craftsman saw.

When you make the move to KY I'd hate to be on the moving crew.
If you don't have enough room, I can try to help out!

A little addition to the shop. Gerard found the ad for this.

It's a 5191 Craftsman 4" vise. A couple squirts of oil and I have a sweet operating vise. Going for restore down the road.
