One thing I'm really pleased about is how well it was packaged. Their packaging was unlike any other. Exceeded my expectations!

How is the wood work surface attached to the top of the cabinet?

Its all pre-assembled, except the casters

Yes, that was my assumption. I was asking because I may have to remove the top in order to slide it under an workbench I have. I am going to guess that the wood top may have threaded grommets pressed/screwed/glued in on the underside and it is bolted on from underneath(?). Maybe removing the top few drawers gives access to those screws/bolts(?) Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Almost bought one to match my 66" cart I got a few weeks ago. Didn't pull the trigger because I still have space in mine with not many more tools I need. Seemed like a great deal.

You might be able to get one as a post-holiday deal, but I would doubt seeing this on clearance. My local stores depleted their stocks quick. They've been selling about 5 pieces a day since Black Friday.

The store I called local to me had 3 in stock and he said they possibly had more in the back. I'll keep an eye on em but I'm not in a rush.

Thanks Winlin!

I was waffling on buying this, finally went into the store today (Dec 1st) and walked right up to the floor model and starting poking around.

Long story short, the attendant this morning was gloating that if I was 5 min earlier I could have bought it for $199. Seems they forgot to pull the sale tag off till right before I walked in, and another customer bought it at the tag price instead of $298.

Anyways, I walked over and said that I also saw the $199 tag and want two. Which is exactly what I was planning on buying anyways. They buckled and sold them, $430 out the door.

Pretty nice, I will post pics soon.

Has anyone been able to take a peek underneath to see how the wood top is attached? Ordered one yesterday.

I took the drawers out of mine to move it up to my second floor (home office) and think I remember seeing just four wood screws in each of the corners up through the sheet metal top.

I picked up my two yesterday. Only unboxed one so far. Seems like the middle brace is pushed upward. Only slightly and then again it could be the lighting, I'll look more closely later. But for the price I am very happy

That can be fixed with a rubber mallet. I change me opinion on this workbench, its actually better than the Craftsman 41" I checked in person at Sears today. ;)

Picked one up on the 30th to replace a **** harbor freight cart I've had for years. For now it's just holding my overflow of tools! Great box for price. Very happy the drawers were even lined for me !

Ive owned one of these since they first started carrying them. I got it on a price error on their website. The store manager also took a HF 20% off coupon. That shows you how long ago that was.. lol. I would up only paying around $150 for it. I have extra tools, my woodworking stuff and lighter duty items in it now along with extension cords to the max in the bottom left drawer.. Its held up pretty nice. I have a small vise collection currently stored on the top of it and it shows very little wear. Well worth the $199 all day if you got in on it.

Oh Winlin... you scare me.

Anyways, here are some photos to make you guys curse yourselves for not picking these up.

Promptly started taking off all the satin chrome handle trim, painted them flat black.

In the future I may end up welding a tube frame for each and adding better casters, so they arent getting painted just yet.

Stoked on the price/quality ratio here. Not the best, but for me a huge upgrade over my old 90's era Craftsman BB 26" cart.

befor- some handles removed already

Wow! That looks amazing, I couldn't even tell it was a Husky. The drawers are very firm. I like the changes you made on the box, do you plan on installing a vise on the top?

I bought one Friday, for $199 for the same use.

Will work great for my 3:1 machine and all of the tooling/accessories.

Gave mine away could not hold up to mild use. C-clamps were too heavy.

I have a 3in1 and tooling it sits on a KRSC100 with 1000lbs of tooling, I have close to 3 or 4 hundred pounds in each drawer.

Bought four of these the last day of the sale and picked them up yesterday. Looks like I got the old version as none of them had drawer liners and none of them had the R on the end of the model #. I recall the display having the liners but it was gone by the time I picked these up. Any chance that I can get them to provide the drawer liners after all have been opened?

Prob. would have an easier time swapping out those models for the newer ones, simply b/c the ones you picked up don't include the liners and in order to give you liners they'd have to take them from the ones that do come with them which would shortchange those particular units. They'd be more inclined to do a return / rering and let you grab the ones you want. At least that's how they'd do it at one of my local Home Depots.

I'm putting larger sized items in the top most drawer (i.e. pry bars, torque wrenches, etc)

It almost feels top heavy now, but its not causing anything drastic. This workbench should have had a similar drawer towards the bottom.

The extra deep bottom drawers are a little stiff when opening. Almost feels like I'm pulling the entire workbench itself without holding onto something else.

Too top heavy? I've always load heavy items down low

Quick update on missing drawer liners........went back to the store I bought these from and they were supper nice about the issue. They said that their system has two model #'s under the same sku and the ones I got did not come with the liners. They had none of the updated cabinets so they offered enough of the drawer liner material sold separately to take care of all four cabinets. Could only find 2 of the 8 rolls that I will need even though the inventory system showed 13 in stock so they gave me the 2 they had and will have the other 6 in a few days.

Even though I have to cut for each drawer, since I had all four cabinets unpacked and it would be a huge hassle to re pack and exchange, this was an exceptible option. First rate customer service as usual!:)

Thanks for the heads up, i didnt take a picture but the packaging said 100lb drawer slides. And the box itself is 200 lbs. I havent opened it yet, my wife is making me wait for christmas.

Looks like you got the same model as mine and they did NOT come with the drawer liners. Drawers are rated at 100lbs but no liners. You may want to address this now rather than waiting until Christmas. See my post above for how my store handled the problem.

wow, yeah, HD got sort of nasty with me (don't think she meant to) but was all bitchy sounding when I asked her. (about taking the -20%, It was about a year ago)
yeah, I would have liked one of them to make a stand for my lathe,
its on a homemade metal stand, albeit with shelf's, but it has these wonky X braces in front of it. kind of wasted space really.
Money's has been getting tight though, so I can't buy everything I see on here
