Just picked mine up, saw a stack of coupons by register. They expire today, but $10 off $50 tools using OUTLAWS10

Better than the 5 off 50 on website.

Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

We're sorry, this coupon does not apply to the item(s) in your cart.

this is one of the reasons i hate sears. there is a 99$ craftsman C3 item in the cart, so there is plenty of room there. there is no explanation of why it doesn't apply.

they pull this **** all the time. i notice that the message is further down the page, i assume they hope i won't notice it and will just continue with the check out process.

Yeah, it is frustrating.

I have/had a bunch of points and a good chunk were expiring today. Since I'm basically at the end of the road digging through for tools I went a different direction for some new cookware. They are tools after all.

In short, spent around $140 or so, got a 15% discount code using code 'NEWYEAR' and paid for the whole dang thing with points I had. Kicker is they are giving me $45 or so back in points which was really a surprise. Problem is those will expire in 7 days so somehow my hand will be forced to use up the remaining points I had plus the $45 given today for another item. First world problem.

But honestly, I don't understand how they can stay in business with this model. Funny thing is if they gave a hoot about their C3 platform I'd be all over that. Right now I'm ready to move to M12/M18.

Anyways, hope you all had a good Christmas and a New Year. Just look for other deals going on in different departments.

Yeah there's a lot of exceptions in the fine print, sorry I didn't take a pic of it. I had trouble too trying to buy a few things and one item kept throwing coupons invalid. I don't remember what it was and I couldn't figure out why since it wasn't labeled anything special... Sometimes it can be a real hassle...

They keep sending me points/min purchase, and coupons. Only thing is they don't show up in my account. Plainly says in the email "load to account" yet it doesn't. Then the next poinst apply to clothing or jewelry that I wouldn't buy anyway. The whole thing is frustrating, and most of the "offers" go in the trashcan. Too much work to chase them. Their website surely needs an overhaul.

Most of these prices are now gone or higher. I was kinda eyeing the Nupla hammer but it's back up to $43.99.

The 36" pry bars with strike cap are up to $24.99.

Did you just find these by diligently searching the website and using filters? Or is there a new crop of sale prices listed in something like a sale flyer?

Funny thing is if they gave a hoot about their C3 platform I'd be all over that. Right now I'm ready to move to M12/M18.

i am here also. my issue with the M18 is simple:

there are too many choices over too many suppliers.

i can get a tool package with 2.5AH, 3AH, 4AH, 5AH, or 9AH batteries. some offer an extra 5AH battery with some purchases but not others. i have spent about three hours between last night and today trying to figure out where to buy a 2573 impact. you can buy it unbundled all over ebay, but then you need to worry about if the batteries are real, or clones shipped from china. there are packages with 2.5AH batteries, 5AH batteries, and i think 4AH batteries (it is all starting to blur together) at various stores.

it is impossible to compare one supplier with another. it reminds me of when Compaq computer started offering different chain stores slightly different model numbers for their computers. it meant it was really difficult to compare prices, but also impossible to get a price match, because it was not the same computer, since it had a different model number, even though it had identical specifications, and looked identical.

that 99$ C3 in my cart is starting to look pretty good. i am sure it is not even close to that Milwaukee one in performance, but the specs are close, and the charger base will be a nice upgrade from the cup that fits over the battery stem i use for my lithiums now. and it is 99$, minus about 15$ in fantasy money, while the M18 seems unreachable for less than about 230$, for largely the same outfit (although it includes two 2.5AH batteries, instead of the one that the C3 includes (which isn't a big deal, since i already have some of those)).

we refer to these as "first world problems" in my house.

Yeah, I seem to have about a 40% success rate in getting coupons to "load." But most offers with "surprise points" (like $10 off $50) come up in my account. If you're not, try using shopyourway.com instead of sears.com. It seems to be a little more "in tune" with your account - - and of course, make sure you're logged in.

But I hear ya, the whole thing is a little hazy at times and it's hard to trust them.

Also if people here haven't, try signing up for 90 day trial of Shop Your Way MAX. They don't require a credit card up front. You get free shipping on nearly everything regardless of dollar amount, and they say you get $3 in points the first two weeks of every month. If true, it could pay for the $39 membership in a year.

That said, I'm not sure Sears will be around in a year and I'm running out of things there that I want. I mean there's a few gems like their better ratchets, Craftsman (Knipex) Cobras, Wilde pry bars...........but the list of really good stuff is pretty short. I certainly don't need any crappy cordless tools (ok, the C3 ain't that bad) or more Chinese sockets and ratchets.

You're really over-thinking the battery thing. The new "standard" in XC batteries is the 5.0, but I have to a believe a 6.0 is on the horizon. Likewise the new standard for the compacts is 2.0 but I'm guessing a 3.0 is coming because a few months ago they did this to the M12 line, ie 3.0 compacts and 6.0 XC's.

But any of the batteries will work perfectly fine in a 2753 AND a 9.0 is arguably overkill in that driver. It's taller, it's heavier, and it could limit access in some areas and make overhead work more difficult.

Honestly, in my compact 1/2" drills (the 2701) I really like the compact 2.0 batteries. They're lighter and the tool doesn't sit so high if you stand it on the battery (which some guys swear you should never do but I take my chances).

But really, just find a kit you like at a price you like and order it. Even the original 1.5ah compacts will work fine on that driver and unless you're building a whole house you won't run thru more than a battery 'n a half in a day.

Once you get more familiar w the M18 platform you'll see a) it's not that complex and b) it doesn't matter that much.

I click on the "see details" or something like that and copy and paste the coupon code from that.

They've clamped down versus last year. They were throwing points faster at you than a ***** giving you herpes.

You were able to combine coupon codes, offers, etc. into a great deal.

Drivers don't seem to **** up much juice, and I've used several brands. I'm happy with my basic C3 model driver, sure the 3-speed would be kind of cool but I can't justify spending that unless my current one dies...

As to the other person about combining stuff, yeah they used to let you combine a lot like coupon codes + bonus points + regular points, but now if you use a coupon code it won't let you use bonus points and of course tons of other restrictions...

I find though if you don't visit the site for a few days they will send you like a $10 or $15 off $40 coupon, or if you leave something in your cart they will give you bonus points if you purchase it within so many days...

I hate all the gimmicks, like someone else said it's probably not going to be around much longer... Though the shopyourway site has tons of other businesses that you can get points back, but pretty much all of it is via online purchasing...

I went to a Sears store at a mall about 30min away. Oh I haven't seen so many Cman tools in one place in a long time! (The closer store is just a HomeTown and only has a couple isles). Anyhow, while browsing I saw they had a 15" adjustable wrench that was actually made in USA... Only one there too...

I signed up for the free shipping for 90 days from shopyourway requires a $30 minimum purchase to qualify. Sorta defeats the purpose for some of the deals.
Try putting an item in your cart that costs more than $10 but less than $30. Click through to get your cart to the final page. You should see free shipping.

EDIT, NO, That's the 31" not the 36"
still wouldn't mind it for $16.99

Anyone else have multiple items jump up in price in their cart, and points back basically dissappear? I had my cart jump by $60, and $50 in points back go away. Man.

Yeah, prices on a lot of items went back to normal or jumped up a few bucks... Which ***** because I was waiting till today for my extra points to show up (which they didn't, of course...) But the items I wanted jumped up in price so much it's not even worth it now... Figures, freaking Sears always finds a way to screw you with those points...

Not sure what is up, on the SYW site it's showing in my points history I should have 53,716 yet in the top right corner of the site it's saying i only have 35,757 available... It's the two ratchet sets I bought / picked up yesterday I'm still waiting on the points to "activate". Maybe it will later today or tomorrow. I really want to use these while some things are still discounted.

Points from my ratchet purchase has not showed up yet either.

I just noticed the Craftsman Extreme Grip Diamond Tip Screwdriver Sets have 50% back in points (given next day it says), plus there's an additional 10% back in points on tools...

10pc Set $24.99 - $14.99 points = $10
14pc Set $34.99 - $20.99 points = $14

LMAO I JUST came to post that same thing. I was going to ask if others were seeing 50% back. You've been reading General Tool.

My last order it inexplicably gave me $10 in points (I couldn't figure out why). So on these screwdrivers I used $11.30 in my account, free 2 day shipping w MAX, about $24.30 delivered and they claim they're gonna give me $17.50 for later. The screwdrivers are practically free.

I DO like that their system is smart enough to charge sales tax on the balance AFTER points are applied. Our state tries to tax vehicles based on pre-rebates, arguing the vehicle dealer actually "paid" you the rebate. Um, no. It's just semantics for a SALE PRICE. Gubermint money-making scheme if I ever saw one.

Finally got my points from the two ratchet sets... It appears "next day" to them means exactly 24 hours after you place your order.

I don't think they are really that different that previous models. I have an old pair with just black grips that aren't as padded and they work fine. I saw identical ones at Tractor Supply one time and grabbed them too, they were in the front area in the clearance bins...

These little ones are great though when you need to get into tight spaces or grab / cut small things.

UPDATE - Freaking Sears... I swear... They give me the rest of my points to buy stuff, but now the items I want to purchase have mysteriously disappeared from my local Sears. I could ship it but some of the items are unavailable for shipping. The only other choice is another Sears that's about 40min away... ugh... I'll just wait a day and I bet they will come back... Their website is so fubar, no wonder they are loosing money.

Anyone own this lunch bag, and have used it for a while? I'm looking for something smaller than my Playmate cooler, but not so small that it will only fit a kid's meal.

That one-star review doesn't help: "everyone is junk do not buy" :headscrat
