I ordered a little wine refrigerator from Sears last night, for store pickup at my local Sears store. The ONLY reason I ordered it from Sears was they were 40%/$100 less than what I could find anywhere else- (which is pretty telling in itself-either no one is watching their competition or they must really be desperate for cash)

Their website was painful to navigate, the SYW point feature was non-functional, it took three tries to check out, and they kept redirecting me to an offer of a rebate of "10% more than what you are saving" if I would pay full price upfront instead of the sale price... Seriously? Who comes up with this ****? (Maybe they hope to sit on the cash and then discharge the rebate obligation in bankruptcy?)

Sears is committing itself to a slow, self-imposed suicide on a public beach which they will undoubtedly blame on their customers when Eddie Lamprey sails away from the rotten, bloated carcass with all the property titles locked in the safe of his mega-yacht.

Yes their website does really ****. I hate when I have to clear my cookies / browser cache because trying to get logged into their site is next to impossible. Sadly most of their problems is the complexity they've added to display ad's and suggest **** and track users and such...

yeah, I couldn't log in the other day, talked to chat, told him I didn't want to CHANGE my password.
So I clicked "forgot my password" got a link to "change" my password.
Entered my Old original password.
And it accepted it as a "New" password. :willy_nil

I was hoping once they shipped out all the XL SAE wrenches, and the smoke cleared, they might find more stock left and the item might be available for a second round for a few hours. Sometimes happens with Sears, they find another pallet of it in the back of the warehouse somewhere. One can only hope...

Sears wouldn't make a price adjustment for me on the SAE xl wrench set cause it's out of stock. The email said I can try again when they are in stock.

They often split the payments if it isn't all shipped together, or picked up at the same store, or if one item is shipped into the store. This also happened when I purchased items via VisaCheckOut at BestBuy.com. All items were charged individually, as each had a different delivery/pickup method.

As long as I get whatever discount/sale I was intending for, I don't mind (too) much.

I'm currently dealing with the fallout of this right now. They billed me for everything, but one of the items never showed up, yet they marked it as picked up when I picked up the rest.
Customer service told me to order it again, and they would refund me for the new order, and big surprise, they haven't yet...

I never would have given them more of my money. They already had the money for the item. It's on them to get me what I already paid for.

When doing store pickup of partial orders, always try to verify everything before you leave. Had a similar thing happen a few years ago. Thankfully I caught it right there. They tried to give me some bs excuses, and told me to call CS, but I made it clear I wasn't leaving until it was corrected. Took a manager longer to get there, than to fix whatever they screwed up. Still less than 10 minutes though. If I'd left and called CS, I would have been on hold longer than that before I ever got to the first person who couldn't help me.

And then they'll tell you it's an "online only item"...

If you get the right customer rep, you might get it.

I think they are 30-days on returns & exchanges. They might swap out under warranty, otherwise, the least recommended (easily abused) but easiest way, would be to buy a new one, and return the old set with the new receipt.

and hope LP is not watching and wanting to take action.

Unless each set was serialized & scanned for the receipt, what are they going to do? You aren't walking out the door with any product that wasn't paid for?

I guess I am more surprised to hear Sears has LP. Sears would probably make more money prosecuting shoplifters, only IF they actually had shoplifters coming in

Rethreader kits as well as tap and die sets are not under warranty as they are consumables (accroding to sears). However, you can cheap and easily replace the pieces from snap on. Mayver for $3-4 shipped as singles-- its probably a better deal to just do that if you broke or damaged something...and don't want the hassle of dealing with sears.

Hope this is helpful, not sure what exactly you are asking for tho. :headscrat

Leftovers from the holidays. Available for ship-to-store, and using a Sears credit card brings the price down to $9.00.

i had a "save 4$ on 4$" syw reward, and 47 cents in points. not as good as the 22$ on any purchase one i had last week, but 4 clamps for 5$ is a pretty good deal.

thanx. (i will note that searching for "irwin quick grip clamp" might have returned this, but it didnt in the first 100 things it showed. me)

I had that too. Crazy!

This week I have $9 off $35, not too bad if there are good sale items like these clamps, but I just picked up a pile of clamps from craigslist last night.

says 2.5" throat depth, so cant be that small

And 6" jaw width. Good for small projects.

I just found a different 4-pack on Amazon, but with 6" and 12" clamps for $12.50.

Reviews for these chinese clamps are pretty bad though.

I'd rather have the Craftsman (Wolfcraft) 6" clamp. Quite a bit more expensive though. I do have these in the larger sizes and they are definitely high-quality (made in Slovakia by Wolfcraft).

You guys need to inquire about the shelving and pallet racking at the stores that are closing! I just bought (3) sections of light duty pallet rack for $200.
