Don't know if anyone already confirmed it, but these are actually made in USA. They're black, with yellow markings. Though, the paint-job with the yellow was crappy on the ones I looked at.
Craftsman 16 x 24 in. Aluminum Square $7.13 Member Price
I referenced these on a previous post, but had no item information. They are actually still $19.99 at my Sears Hometown, but $10 on the site (though they said they would match the site surprisingly). The reason they jumped out at me, is they were German made. Reviews say that they are China now, but if you are lucky to find the German ones, they are very nice brad point drill bit.
Craftsman 7 pc. brad point drill bits - $9.99
Craftsman Metal Stubby Drill Bits $5.92 - just came across these, which are on sale, but not a Hot Buy or other title preventing coupons / surprise points to be used. no idea on COO
If you want some good quality German brad point bits, I found these on eBay recently:
Vermont American 6-piece brad point bit set - made in germany - $23.49
I'm not sure of the quality, but here is a combination tap and die set for $100.

Or $110 for store pickup. Lately, I've been noticing some higher prices when I try to pick a store.
It's as if they're charging for the "free" in-store pickup.![]()
Your store has the German made craftsman bits? Lucky guy!
I have had this as well! The Sears near by just had a closing down sell off though.Or $110 for store pickup. Lately, I've been noticing some higher prices when I try to pick a store.

Here also.
So much for FREE store pickup. About the only time I ever set foot in a sears anymore, is when I have to pick up an order. I’m sure I’m not alone. I guess they don’t want that foot traffic either.
Craftsman 108 piece Mechanics Tools Set - $39.99

Decent little set to throw in the trunk of your car for emergencies. COO - China.
Like most stores, the web site and the store are two separate businesses, with different marketing strategies and pricing structures. To you it is the same tool, to them it is a tool they bought from a different supplier (the store) to sell to you on the website.
i can understand that business model, if they were not filling orders from the same stock pool.
not only is doing it this way inefficient, it is a bad practice. i would assume they would want me in the store, on the chance that i might notice something else and buy it.
Anyone know who makes these screwdrivers?
Worth it?

.
you sure are not. Also about 99% of the time you can get a better deal ordering online and picking up vs price matching in store. Online always has better prices plus you can use points. I have come across times where I price match in store, but they wont apply rewards/freecash points.
They price matched and applied points for me in-store recently, but it was on an online order where I opted to "pay in store." They should modify the website to remove that option for "online only" deals if they don't want to price match in store.
