Wondering if anyone has this set?

http://http://www.sears.com/nbsp-00497-5pcs-hss-cobalt-multiple-hole/p-SPM12473030130?SID=IMxdCx-MPTools-V2-activeusers&utm_medium=2706_92012_MPTools

I am sure imported.....maybe its the box I like. I have only used those once or twice and seemed to work OK for what I was doing.

Thanks,

scam. 90% off, seller is not sears. make sure you pay in a manner that is easy to get your money back from when (if) it blows up . . . . .

Sears marketplace seller: happydeal-365
Items sold by happydeal-365 cannot be returned to a Sears store

Thanks, I did not notice that. Enough for me to stay away even for disposable product.

Sears can't or won't offer assistance if problems arise with the third party seller

I've noticed a lot of those 3rd party sellers (for example) showing that the product used to be $300, but it's on sale now for $35.

Google the part number and it's a $15 item.. No thanks.

If you're "needing" a new deadblow, Sears has the Craftsman 3ib "Powerdrive" deadblow on sale for $21.92 plus $3 back in points. This is definitely a rebadged Nupla and, from my experience, well worth the money.

Does anyone knows the quality of 1lb deadblow? It looked the same, but not sure if it is also a rebadge Nupla? I wished the 3lb is available in my area...

Thank you! Really appreciate the quick reply. I got some points expiring today [emoji106]
I'm really happy with my 3lb...for the price I paid. The reviews say the face is very soft and fragile so it's probably best left to the lighter duties. I got mine for $5. I actually wanted the 1lb over the 3lb but the 3 was cheaper. If you were closer I'd trade you the 3 for the 1. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with a heavy yet fragile faced hammer.

I bought the three pound Craftsman. Haven't used it. I have a full set of Armstrong deadblows (I think the Armstrongs are made by Trustycook).

I got the Craftsman for a few bucks after points. I plan to use to for jobs like banging sharp CV axles and such. Bought it so I could basically preserve my expensive Armstrongs. I figured I'd bang the Craftsman till is splits. Also, the Craftsman is forever warranty, so if the face splits apart, just return it for a new one. (I guess as long as Sears is in business anyway).

But I'm thinking the Craftsman is going to last, we'll see. I actually do like the Nupla style handle better than the Armstrong (Trustycook). Because you can really swing and wack with a Nupla, and have a very confident grip that the hammer won't fly out of your hand, which would be dangerous.

I love the Nupla handles. I'm thinking those handles are probably patented or something. Otherwise, you would see cheap copy-cats at places like Harbor Freight.

Don't know who other than Nupla it could be.

I should have mentioned the reason I asked, while all three looked the same (probably using the same picture) was because the 1 lbs hammer is "Craftsman 1 lb. Dead Blow Hammer" but the 2 and 3 lbs is "Craftsman 3 lb. Hammer, Power Drive®". Local home store do not have this so I was not sure.

It just threw me off a bit since the title of the item is different. Appreciate everyone's feedback here!

I end up getting the 2 lbs since the 3 lbs is not available in my area, but now the 2 lbs is available. Weird that the 3 lbs is cheaper :dunno:

That weird-looking "Super Grip" handle always reminds me of Nupla.

I'm guessing Nupla is another supplier that hasn't been happy after Stanley/B&D purchased Craftsman, so we're getting whatever stock is left in Sears warehouses.

My 2 lbs model is not ready to pick up until Nov 30th. I don't need it so I can wait. The warehouse must be in a galaxy far far away lol

Finally got my cantilever tool box in. It's pretty nice. I don't really need it though so I'll probably sell it to a coworker. I only paid $17 out the door. Some SK goodness for size comparison.

Sears had a big fallout with their old friend Whirlpool, so all it's brands ("Sold by Sears" items) are deleted from Sears.com.

If anyone visits a Sears store tonight, please let us know if all the Gladiator stuff is on clearance. Thanks.

gladiator shelving is one of the few larger ticket items I consider buying from Sears. Guess it's down to yard & garden tools. Thanks sears

I bought the 3lb dead blow tonight on sale and with points it was under 20 out the door. Only problem is I have to buy the other two to keep my tool OCD happy. Hopefully they go on sale soon, my local sears isn't doing well.

i dont know, but i bet that whirlpool was asking for payment up front, because they are worried about getting caught if sears declared bankruptcy, and end up getting 15% on the dollar two years later for all the stock that was outstanding.

an interesting question is what happens to any kenmore appliances that were being made by whirlpool. . . . i dont know what percentage whirlpool makes, but i assume it is significant.

this will certainly hurt sears more than it will hurt whirlpool.

One of the articles I read said that Whirlpool will continue producing Kenmore appliances. I don't know if there is any truth to it. I know Kenmore uses several different OEMs, but I have always been under the impression it was mostly Whirlpool/Maytag.

I also read that Sears only made up 3% of Whirlpool sales. Again, I find that hard to believe, but it may be possible. I do think that Sears was one of the biggest sellers of the Gladiator line, so I think we will either see it go away or Whirlpool will begin pushing it harder in other retailers.

Adding Whirlpool to the list of suppliers no longer doing business with Sears, the list is getting significant. :willy_nil

Yeah, but where's the "sears.com hot deal?"

Well, if Sears.com continues deleting the products of every company they have an issue with, then we'd better get used to browsing in the stores to find the hot deals. :lol_hitti

Best Buy has been selling them for several months now. When the Gladiator 72" was on sale for $149 at Sears, it was the same at Best Buy.

I hit the local sears store at lunch time and did a price check on one gladiator hook. Scanned as full price. Display was the usual organized mess

Yeah, but where's the "sears.com hot deal?"

Those links have been hit or miss for the past 10 days. Hot deals , clearance and deal of the day links have been nothing multille times

Hot deals had items yesterday in the am, empty at night time

Clearance for local stores have been reduced to one time or nothing for the past 10 days
