For those that do barns with metal siding and light fixtures on the side. Is there trim that can be used similar to what you use on vinyl siding? Have 5 light fixtures the better half wants centered over the garage doors.

I was not able to find anything to fit this bill. Others have made blocks to match the profile of their metal’s ribs, but I chose to mount my lights on a ‘flat’ section of the profile, adding blocking on the inside as needed to mount the electrical boxes.

Well... there was this great thread that covered your question. And I searched and found it..... but without the pictures it's not so great..

How to Mount Outdoor Lighting to ribbed Metal siding?

And some more:

Pole Barn Porch Lights - How to support lights and wire and what boxes?

I made a mounting block out of pressure treated wood by cutting a "V" slot in the wood. Painted it to match the siding, and slathered it with silicone caulking before screwing it to the siding. Took a bit of experimenting to get the angles for the slot right, but it worked well.

I could not find mounting blocks for ribbed metal siding.
^^^ This is a good idea, but composite material would be better than wood

There are "addons" or "extensions" that can be added to both Firefox and Chrome to bypass the blackmail of photobucket. If it's your personal thread I would suggest fixing the links while you can see them to go to a different host before photobucket changes their code.

I think you will have to make something up -- with all the metal building around one would think something would be commercially available. looks like no.

I would get a wide enough length of Boral and make something up . Cutting the groves on the bottom should be easy with a table saw -- the product comes in very thick boards and is easy to work with -- paints up nice and never rots

I've had to make adapters for mounting on stone and stucco. Trex, using woodworking tools. Weathers to look like a grey stone ring/square addon or extension.

Could not find them in either firefox or chrome.
