Twertsy
I have a 426 but I suspect it wouldn't be worth the shipping, its yours if one dosent turn up in reasonable time though.
Twertsy, I have a 424A from 1951 in excellent condition and a 1033C from 1948 that's been abused.
BTW, did you take the tape stickers off that board to reveal the parts numbers? Were the tape stickers unrelated, or alternate (revised) parts numbers?
I don't usually pick up BONALOY in DOE's, Todd, because they didn't introduce them until after the war, but I've got your list in my little green book now.
)Nice wrenches. Any luck find either the 13 or 15 MM longs as I have had zero luck locating those two sizes as they are the two missing from set and I have everything else from 10 MM-20 MM. I did find Matco versions made by Bonney and I have those added to my set for nowGot a few more since I got the set of Metric, been lucky recently and a few have turned up, all were bought as singles.
View media item 78314Thats the 3rd 19mm but you can never have to many of those.
And???!!! Where's the rest of the story?! Was it actually being auctioned? Or is that just hanging on a wall at the auction house. It looks like a 'Lost and Found' station. Or perhaps an emergency board (to chain unruly participants down and cut their hands off)?Saw this at an auction. Thought of you guys.

Those red Bonney boards seem to be getting more attention lately! One popped up on eBay maybe a week or two ago for $25 with free shipping, which is absurd. Even more because I think it ended without selling. I hesitated because it had hangers for screwdrivers, which I have not been collecting, and there were other items I was watching with more interest. If I had it to do again, I’d buy it, and convert it to wrenches (sacriledge, I’m sure).

And now this. A tin-covered wooden 2-drawer chest for 3/4dr CV socket tools. I wonder if it says “Hercules” in front of “heavy duty.” Can’t see. And I don’t get the non-square corners on what seem to be the side panels. Really intriguing piece, maybe retail inventory/display from the late 1930s? I don’t see anything like it in catalogs.

This seems like an appropriate thread to post a bonney vise I noticed on craigslist. If one of you die-hards wants it and communicates with the seller for pictures and such I could possibly arrange to pick it up - if they are flexible, I will be in the area on christmas. It does look like a rotating base vise - missing the base.

Apologies gents, but I couldn't let that beautiful display box just sit there unloved.......

Looking forward to seeing more of it and hearing more about it.Thanks gents. I can't resist Bonney display items!
Congrats Twertsy! Beautiful display item, and I'm sure exceedingly rare. I look forward to seeing how it cleans up.
Sweet breaker bar!
Are looking for a A720 or A724, I saw a couple A724's on eBay that I would not give as much as they are charging. One looked that used it in a welding shop as it had severe pitting on the head and the 2nd had rust really bad on the headI've got a NOS 1/4" and used older 3/8"ers. Still looking for a nice NOS 1/2" to complete that set.

Yes the prices are more now then a while back but they should know that to sell some items in the rather beat up condition means to sell it for less not more.I've have to dig out the catalog and check my 1/2" set box to see which one would suit me better.
Yeah, the bay is a bit pricey on some things. And prices on Bonney stuff has jumped since they've been "re-discovered".
