How bright are those lights. Thinking if I come across one, pick it up for $88.

Just trying to help out the newbies, but thanks for putting me in my place!

.Less than zero. What is the experience in getting one store to match another store's clearance price?

They won’t even price match the Home Depot website with in-store stuff. Even if it’s a $4 difference. This is way I am leaning to just shop at Lowe’s now.
I was in a store today and a customer was looking for this. They have been gone a long time around here. I asked a manager to match lowes romex price of $5 and he said he could not do that.

If you look it up online at the store(s) near you, and it shows an actual quantity and full price, then it's not on clearance.
If it shows 0 available then they are all sold out.
If it shows "Not in your store" or something like that, then it *might* be on clearance if you knew it had them in stock before. The only way to know an item is on clearance if it's not on the website as in-stock is to check in store.

I don't understand not matching their own website. What's next, sorry can't accept return because not purchased at same store?
LOL I was waiting for a fellow ARFCOMer to poke their head out.![]()

And there is no military discount online. I asked i could just buy something they don't stock online and when I pick it up refund/rebuy w/ my discount and they said they are separate and if I did that it would have to get returned to the online store NOT their store. Very stupid.
Dave
Sadly my store has a global policy w/ online orders. If i return it I cannot buy it back even if the sell it. If they sold It I'd buy it from them and just get my discount. They just don't stock much of what I need so I buy it online. Well I did, until recently.Looks like it used to be possible to order an online-only product from Home Depot with the military discount by calling customer service and having them place the order for you, but they stopped doing that in the last year or so (after 'too many' people found out about that option, I guess).
And as for whether they can adjust it in-store when you pick it up, "If you order online and the store sells the same item (i.e. you ordered online because the store was out of stock), they can make an adjustment for the military discount. If you order online when the item is not sold in the store, they cannot adjust for the discount because the item is not in their system."

I think that is the full SKU. It's an extension pole, for putting a screw-on tool on the end of it. ~$20 original price. Described as being for pool cleaning tools - do those use the same threading as non-pool stuff like paint rollers, scrapers, etc?

Good to know, thanks. So it's for pool use only, and not very good at that.Pool guy here, most pool poles just have two holes drilled into the end for these type of clips that are standard in most brushes, nets, and vacuums.

Also 8 ft extended is pretty short for cleaning a pool. I wouldn't bother with less than a 16 ft. And since we're on a tool forum, the aluminum on those are real thin. A homeowner could get away with it, but it will bend if extended and put under stress with a brush. Also the aforementioned clip holes will eventually tear.
but Lowes was able to integrate Military Discount into their online system...
Not to bust your bubble, but HD does over $100 billion/yr worth of revenue. You will need to convince about 1 milion of your closest buddies to do the same in order to make a statistically significant reduction in their revenue.Yep, they (HD) lost over $1k in revenue from me this week because of this. I needed a bunch of milwaukee tools they don't stock in the store. Just got it at acmetools instead. I am going to go through their bid room on my next big purchase to see what they can do for me. It'll be a good 9K in materials and they seemed to think they could do about 30% better than retail, we shall see.

Hello everyone again...New HD hunter here. I have a question was hoping someone might either PM me the answer or post it here.
..they still have the "Black Friday 11/24 Ad event" which means they are def very very cheap.
My reason is I'm worried once I get someone to pull them down and they see how cheap they are, either going to say sorry they are NOT for sale or will make up some random price.
Is there anyway to find out the TRUE price.
