Im looking to get a table saw, have never owned one before.. would mostly be used in garage or driveway, for woodworking /furniture projects
sometimes inside when im renovating parts of my house.
What do you guys recommend? I already have the Dewalt Sliding miter saw DWS780 & stand. So I was looking at Dewalt table saws like this, but Im open to other brands.
32" rip with rolling stand

I have the Dewalt one. You cannot put a dado blade on it. Might be a problem if you want to make furniture down the road. Other then that it worked good for the two times I used it.

wrong did a dado blade a couple of times with mine.....

I have the dwe7480. The manual says no dado blade and I probably wouldn’t ever use one anyways.

the op is looking at the 7491rs saw totally different saw than the 7480
Word! That would always be my recommendation.![]()
mostly plywood, like making some cabinets or whatnot..
basically need an all around performer.. this is a secondary hobby after wrenching on cars, i need everything to be somewhat easily movable
I ended up buying the Dewalt dwe7491RS , a Dado throat plate & a freud Dado stack
got everything for $650 on amazon
thanks for the suggestions everyone
you will love the sawhad a older Rockwell contractor saw before this one and the contractor saw was dog to use.
the Dewalt is so easy to use my wife even sets it up and uses it
So the saw showed up and it has some issue, the table is not flat, the "wings" ? are about 1/16-1/8" lower on the end then the middle of the table.. tested with a few straight edges. Also the fence was a little dinged up and not aligned properly.
Amazon is sending me a replacement, how flat can I expect the table top to be? And how much would that affect my cuts be true? I know its not a $5000 saw, but its should be good quality for the money feel.
that saw took a shot in shipping, mine cuts really straight out of the box.
been building pipe tables with the saw, this a bar top we built for my sisterinlaw dinner she has
those came out nice!
does your dewalt have any noticeable deviation in the table flatness ? or pretty dead on?
never checked, will do tomorrow, fence is dead nuts on.......![]()
thanks, id be interested to see
here it is table looks to be total flat, the composite table will scratch over time
the level doesnt rock at all if you press down on one side? I just got the 2nd one in the mail and same thing as the first
gonna call dewalt tomorrow
no I x the table ad did the edges,
C'mon, a venerable Powermatic model 66 with a biesmeyer fence should be available at a reasonable price somewhere by him.
thanks, appreciate you checking it for me
your throat plate is not sticking up is it ?///
no its pretty much level, maybe a little low.. still have the same problem if i measure not near the plate
I went to home depot & checked out some of the table saws they had.. ryobi was similar issue with flatness.. one of the ridgids was near perfect flatness & so was the bosch.. the smaller dewalt model they had also was not flat
all were the portable/ contracts type saws
gonna give this one more shot, lowes has the same saw for $100 less than amazon right now, and then i used 10% off coupon for total of $450 with tax... if this one is not flat im going to step up to the bosch 4110-10
3rd one form lowes had the same issue.. Dewalt told me to take it to a service center, i have no idea what they would do to fix it besides replacing the top, assuming they have flat ones laying around.
Im really considering returning this one & just going with a cast iron top delta 36-725 or Ridgid R4512.. price is about the same, less mobility but they look like nicer saws

Are these single piece tables or three piece with two wings?
If the latter it isn't uncommon for them to be flared up or down. I've shimmed these with masking tape.
Deception- I was ready to buy the Dewalt DWE7491RS this weekend at Lowe’s with their sale price plus I also have a 10% off coupon. I work on flipping houses and projects at home so a good portable saw was part of my criteria. I also took a look at the newer Hitachi C10RJ which seems to get pretty good reviews especially for the price, however I also found quite a few posts talking about pieces breaking and long waits for backordered replacement parts. The Dewalt seems to get glowing reviews as one of the best jobsite table saws and $470 plus another 10% off seems like a great price for this saw. I hope I can find one with a flat table. Can you post a picture of yours?
