The haven’t been able to log into Sears on my phone for about 10 days.

SYW and desktop sign in is ok. Last order I placed via the SYW website did not generate any coupons for future purchases.

Sears app sign-in is still working for me, though it was veeery slow to finish the sign-in process when I used it a couple days ago. Had the spinning circle for several minutes.

Regardless of which Sears website/app or buying in-store, I and many other frequent shoppers seem to have been cut off from all or nearly all coupons previously generated at the time of a purchase, since about 4 months ago. Not sure if your situation is part of that, but something to be aware of.

Maybe try calling Yost if you have time tomorrow, to ask what their plans are. 2manytools was able to get some informative results calling other vendors. I was optimistic your order would ship after bankruptcy began, since they seemed to be holding it until payment going forwards would be assured; but it seems some vendors are still snubbing Sears until they get their pre-bankruptcy back payments.

To those of you that ordered the $5.99 toolbox. That vendor is not shipping the orders, according to sears chat support. I got refunded on all of the units I ordered instantly.

FWIW, my label was generated on 10/4, was dormant for a while, but today UPS is showing movement, meaning they have the package and are transporting it.

Might we worth waiting a few days. Was yours ship to store or ship to home, that might make a difference. Mine was ship to store.

I've heard of Sears/Kmart (maybe JCP or Macy's too? some other big dept store) doing that to people before. Bring them all to that store with your receipts as soon as it's convenient again, and a cashier should be willing to safely remove the tags for you. Hopefully the shipped-in items didn't come from a location that uses a different security tag system; I vaguely recall seeing a year or two ago someone received items shipped from elsewhere in the country that their local store didn't have the matching tag-removal machine for.

Thanks to an SD user figuring this out from the court documents, here are the "211 stores that are under review could have closing announcements as soon as November 15" (this is in addition to the 142 that came out on Monday as beginning liquidation within a week or so). This is a mixture of Sears and Kmarts and it doesn't identify which is which (and it's way too many to want to look them all up one by one), but between the 3 lists (142, 211, and 333 in next post), this apparently is all of the remaining corporate stores. The 4-digit numbers are the store IDs. If/when these stores begin liquidation, it will run for about a month and a half.

" On or prior to November 15, 2018, the Obligors shall not dispose of, pledge, encumber, transfer or assign their rights, title and interest in (and shall not reject any of the leases with respect to) any of the stores set forth on Schedule 6 hereto (the “Designated Stores”).

I just realized that the arrival date has passed, but I didn't get a pickup notice from the store. A Sears chat agent provided an invalid UPS tracking number, and offered to forward the issue for investigation.

If you KNEW Sears was going to declare bankruptcy and cause vendors to stop fulfilling orders, then why didn't you warn us???

It would be illegal, it violates their fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders.

and as of now the points are still able to be used. my parents bought a washer and dryer both on the 400/400 deal. even if they only get 2-3 points payouts they figure they got a good enough deal. although the in store price was still higher than online, somehow the store ordered them in for pick up? i didnt think they could do that but thats what they did instead of selling the ones on the floor. i thought that was odd. and i believe they are ready for pick up already

This is typical. Same thing happened in my local store when it closed. The store was packed with people buying overpriced tools that were marked down 25%. Stuff never really got cheaper than the online prices. It was mostly gone before it hit any steep discounts.

Based on the lists, looks like they will be pulling out of Texas and some other states entirely. Makes sense to reduce and consolidate to a limited area. Will reduce expenses.

There are still quite a few in Texas on the last-stores-standing list. They are probably getting out of some states, but not this one.

It's going to come a little too late for me to price-adjust any of my recent purchases unless I buy something else online in the next couple weeks... last thing I bought online was the 4ft level on Oct 1, it's been in-store purchases since then.

I just realized that the arrival date has passed, but I didn't get a pickup notice from the store. A Sears chat agent provided an invalid UPS tracking number, and offered to forward the issue for investigation.

If you KNEW Sears was going to declare bankruptcy and cause vendors to stop fulfilling orders, then why didn't you warn us???

I never got a tracking number... just an e-mail that it had shipped.

On the last day of the sales in every store, the discount will get greater and greater by the hour. For example, they advertise at least 50% of all items on the last day. However, each hour or two they add a percentage on top of that. The stores here that closed were 50% at opening the last day. They added 25% to that, then 50% then 75%, then make an offer.
I'm sure people that know how math works know that you can have a 50% sale with an additional 75% off.... If an item is 100.00, it's 50 at the start of the sale. Then you CAN subtract an additional 50%, making it 25.00, NOT free. I just figured I'd preface with that since there's always someone that will say you can't have a sale with 50% off plus 50%, 75%...

Good to know, thanks. This might vary in some stores, since some liquidation contractors seem to run things differently than others, from what we've heard in previous discussions of Sears liquidation policies (some apparently stop using the Sears POS system so points/offers no longer apply during liquidation, but at others it keeps working till the end).

Visited my usual Hometown Store today. Really just went in for some adapters to blow my irrigation lines out, but picked up a bunch of clearance items. While trying to find the Craftsman sand blaster unit, I saw a Gearwrench impact kit. It was the 3/8" kit I had been waiting to come back in stock for a long time, and still said that online. It was priced at $100 in store, but $77 online as well as saying "online only." I asked about matching, and he said they would. He said that because those are ordered differently, not through Sears corporate, it took longer for them to actually receive them. I passed on them for now, but will watch the site to try to use a coupon as well.

You may want to check your local Hometown store, as besides this item, I saw many items that the website said they had none of.

All 3 of our local Sears (1 mall, and 2 Hometown) have survived the post-bankruptcy closing list. The mall one was noticeably busier than I've seen it in years. Haven't seen that many cars in the parking lot except maybe the last days right before Xmas.

Prices online have always tended to be lower than in the store except for the in store red tag sale items. Those red-tags change daily I assume at the manager's discretion and often are ridiculously low priced. I drive by the store on my way to/from work so whenever I get a ~$10 or $15 no strings / no min purchase 'FreeCash' email (got another $10 one today) I like to take a stroll through the store just looking at the red tags to see what I can walk out with for free or for just a few dollars. Just in the last year off the top of my head: Craftsman bow saw - free. Craftsman 18pc precision screwdriver set - free. Craftsman bottle beer wrench - free. Craftsman 4pc BBQ grill tool set cost me $6. Craftsman 3pc striking cap pry bar set cost me $10. etc.

Looks like all 3 of my stores are on the last list. Wondering if they are guaranteed to close December or not? Chula Vista is managed to not have any sales or price matching, and deny most tool warranties yet is always packed. Methinks it turns a good profit, while terrible to shop at would still give me a pickup option. The other two on the last list do have deals including the unpublished secret clearance items. So the last list isn't just the high margin stores. My guess is some on that list will close and others won't.

Also my last Kmart just did away with sales, and the tag prices are now 10-20% higher than the LIST prices online, yet also well patronized. No it's not currently liquidating, just possiblity under private management. It's also on the last list.

If these stores end up closing they are truly done. If Sears can't make money with full stores charging full price they are truly finished.

If they DO survive though, this will be the format. A few high priced stores where the only deal potential is online orders/points.
