I received notification this afternoon that both of my Sharksaws were delivered. I ordered them during the F&F event last week. Everything arrived last week.

Not exactly what I wanted but I used up most of my points. Just a little to late to order the Craftsman cart @ $60.— price. Not interested in at the $89-96 price.

...

Sounds like we ordered about the same time, then. Thanks for the report. Any day now...

The 84 tooth 3 piece thin profile ratchet set is on sale for 59.99 normally 99.99. That's the lowest price I've seen and I don't think it's been that low since about May.

$42.99 is the absolute lowest I've seen it go... Usually they drop it to $49.99 every now and then...

Was $38.** online, back at some point during this past summer.

One out of the three 90T ratchet tool sets is now available. One of the vendors must have been paid.

Though, it's only the metric version of the 1/2" drive sets:

Bad news... as of Wed Nov 14, 2018, the free ship-to-home threshold has shot up from $35 to $59. :eek2:

If you still have a nearby store available, items that can't be shipped to the store can (presumably still) be ordered in-store on the kiosk to still get free home shipping below that threshold, FWIW.

I will add that you can not pay online at the kiosk anymore, that option seems to have gone away with the bankruptcy. You have to wait in line and pay at the register. As of yesterday, Tuesday, 13 November.
Maybe they will drop it to $25 on cyber Monday or something like that.

The marketing folks at Target, Amazon and such decide to offer free shipping for at least the holiday season with NO minimum purchase. The geniuses at Sears go the opposite way, raising the minimum purchase. Once again, Sears gonna Sears!

Anyone try the Contico plastic shelving units (USA) sold at Sears stores? I can't find them on Sears.com, but the model number (3618BK5) matches this:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Continen...Black-Ventilated-Resin-5-Tier-Shelf/186404868

Sears regular price: $39.99
Usual sale price: $29.99

Can't tell if they're exactly the same as the one I bought.

I bought a set long enough ago that I can't actually remember when I bought them but it's been at least 6 years. Been through three military moves.

I keep smaller things like spray paint cans, oil and transmission fluids, and various lubes and other auto and motorcycle related stuff on it.

If I saw another set for sale I'd buy them.

So you've done it the new way? What do they do at the register to match you up with the unfinished order? The more we know before attempting it, the better, since the odds are probably high that the cashier won't have done this before. ;)

i ended up going with the 3 ton jack stands for 32.99 since the 4 ton are still priced ~$50ish. it irks me to no end how they jump the price on a daily or hourly basis. ahh well...free is free. 4 ton stands would do me no better than the 3 ton ones and these are in stock at a local-ish store that ive been sending all the small items w/o free shipping to. will pick up in another week or so

Thanks. A friend needs some more shelves for the garage, and he's got $10 freecash to burn.

If you're only interested in using up some points, then you can just pay at the kiosk. For example, someone buying a $9.99 item with their $10 freecash.

Too bad the kiosk cannot bypass the "Oversized Shipping" fee.

No, I was impatient yesterday and pretty much everyday of my life and left because the lines were rather long.

Taiwan-made tools are generally higher quality than China-made tools. The US Craftsman products are mostly long-gone, and we're trying to get deals on what is still available before the whole thing shuts down.

Speaking of which, Sears is now finalizing financing for the second chunk of cash they needed to continue operating through Christmas.

So, the USA ones you have used are garbage? Or are you referring to the ones now made in Taiwan?

I have the Taiwanese set... no complaints... on par with a GearWrench 84-tooth ratchet.

I'm not crazy about the wide handle... so while they're not my primary ratchets, they are low-profile so I will use them on occasion.

And, as has been mentioned, they've been on sale before for under $42.

Last I checked, Bully Tools weren't available anymore, but I noticed today they are back albeit not free to ship. I wonder how successful one might be chatting and seeing if they might do an exception on the shipping. I bet the chat reps only found out about the change when they tried ordering for a customer today

Worth a try asking, I guess. Now if only Knipex would come back. ;)

Here's a little more info about how the new kiosk checkout process works, from SD:

"Hey anyone wondering why my Kiosk order is requiring me to go to the store checkout? Thanks."
"You have to click on that to get to the final steps of the order. If you are paying with all points, you never actually have to go to the cashier. I think that going to the cashier is if you actually have to pay something for your order."

I thought those look nice if you have a place to put it.

Thanks... like I said, I'm think of using it on the inside of the lid of my tool cart. I've seen some people do something similar with the free magnetic strips you can get at Harbor Freight in the "Show Us Your HF Tool Cart Mods" thread...

It's a Hot Buy, so coupons won't work... but might be a good candidate for the $10 in Freecash from Sunday's Weekly Sweeps e-mail.

The word is that Sears Holdings secured a $350 million loan.

It's like the freakin Energizer bunny. When will those batteries finally die out?
