Craftsman 8PC MASTER SENSOR SOCKET SET - $37.92

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-8pc-master-sensor-socket-set/p-00904928000P

I have this set... no complaints. COO Taiwan... appears to be identical to the Gearwrench offering.

It'll ship for free... or pick up in-store... and use the RMN $5 off $35 in Tools coupon.

I just picked that set up Friday, I used points and had the clerk price match the online price. Not a big enough difference to spend the time getting it price matched. It’s a very nice set and the case isn’t bad as well.

And speaking of GearWrench... anybody near Elkins, WV?!?

GearWrench 44-piece 3/8-Inch Drive 6-point SAE/Metric Impact Standard/Deep Socket Set - $64.86

https://www.sears.com/gearwrench-44-piece-3-8-inch-drive-6-point/p-00953830000P
that one is a little ways away from me, but they seem to have several things in store that i want and cant find closer/get shipped to me. its up in the "mountains" and i make 4-5 trips to or through there a year for hiking or just seeing some of the sights. its not worth the trip just to pick up an item or two so im trying to get a list of a few things i could use and piggy back it on a day trip

I hadn't bought anything from Sears in quite a while. I decided to pull the trigger on a Cman slide hammer set, which I've been wanted forever. It's $57.42 right now which isn't bad, and then I found a $5 off so $52.42 with free shipping.
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-10-...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=3&blockNo=3&blockType=G3

9700085971286185 (not sure if $5 off $35 or $50)

That's probably not a reusable code, FYI. :) Anyone wanting a Sears coupon can go to RMN to generate your own. $5 off $35 on tools, $5 off $50 on anything, and several higher-spend options.

SharkSaw Multi-Angle Saw 10-5/8”, 15 tpi - $24.34

https://www.sears.com/sharksaw-multi-angle-saw-10-5-8-8221-15-tpi/p-00902101000P

Shark saws are pretty well-regarded... made in Japan. This model was available for shipping or in-store pickup... and the adjustable handle could come in handy. Buy it by itself... or add $10.66 worth of stuff... and opt for either free shipping... or use the RMN $5 off $35 in Tools coupon and pick up in-store, if you've still got a Sears nearby.

Hmm, intriguing. I don't recall noticing these on Sears.com before (evidently it's been there a while, but AFAIK I hadn't come across them myself or seen them mentioned before). I already have a pretty good pull saw from Harbor Freight, but it doesn't have an adjustable handle like this... But I wonder whether this vendor is really still shipping. :headscrat (Things like this are usually 'Sears Authorized Supplier' situations.) Maybe I'll call them on Monday...

Good news, I just called Shark and they said "we're still shipping" Sears.com orders!

This was available a few months ago, then it went "not available" just as I have enough points to get it. I chat with CS and was told it will be back in the next few days. It never did, so I moved on. If you can find it, I think that is a great price for 44 pcs.

I've definitely seen variations like that on a number of other Craftsman products with moving parts. I prefer to test/inspect stuff like that in-store when possible. Quality control ain't what it used to be. ;)

No it isnt :lol_hitti so to stack the deck so to say that is why i dig back in the rack to get a set that 100 other people hasnt played with. So far its worked for me.

Since calling suppliers seems to result in a more accurate answer, I called lang about the 48 piece thread restore set I have had on order for two months or so. It is now shown as temporarily unavailable on the website. Anyway the lady I reached seemed to know what she was talking about and said that they haven't even considered not shipping to sears yet as they haven't placed an order from them in quite some time. So my assumption is they fired the person who's job it was to make those orders, hopefully they'll get it figured out before they disappear.

My Hometown store got 2 in several weeks ago. Online it said they had none, but I randomly walked down that aisle that day. The guy said the way they were received, not through Sears corporate but from Apex/GW direct, that they wouldn't show in his inventory for a few days. He did say he would match the website, because it wasn't available online, but the price was high $70's and I figured I'd wait until low $60s'.
I called today to order over the phone, and he gets ready to ring it out, but then said he forgot was shut out from doing any price matches for the month of November. I'm sure he could figure a way around, like saying incorrect price or something, as yesterday a Sears corporate matched a price of an item that was cheaper at any other retailer.

The Hometown store has F&F until tomorrow. 44 set is $72 after the 10% off. Probably the best for the bang for my buck on my remaining points. Missed getting the 2-pack of dead blows for $50 by a few days. I wan't to get the roller storage seat, but have a $10 Torin from last year deal I still haven't opened. Only other item might be the utility cart.

6-point sockets, but 75 pieces are screw bits, nut driver bits, and hex keys.

Craftsman 165pc Mechanics Tool Set $37.86

Using the $5 off tools coupon from Retailmenot will dip the price below the $35 minimum needed for free S&H.

As of Nov 3, Apex Tools (Craftsman, Gearwrench, etc) has now filed with the bankruptcy court to try to seize their products from Sears too.
...

And Stanley Black & Decker (SBD) (new-Craftsman, Dewalt, Irwin, Stanley, etc) filed on Nov 5 to 'reclaim' their products too! :shocking: $7.6 million. I don't know how long it takes for all these seizures to get approved in court and implemented, but we'll be looking at quite an empty tool department once they do.

Do the courts generally approve these? Seems like all they would be doing is guaranteeing a company is unable to emerge from bankruptcy.

Some will likely get approved, but approval is often weighed against ensuring the business can remain a going concern. It's frequently also a first come first serve type thing too.

Today my points are still looking as if I never ordered the saw, but the order still says it's processing. I guess I'll just hope a free saw shows up next week and order something else today.

I wasn't able to find much about the odds of success on reclamation claims, just this one line on some lawyer site: "The court may find that the vendor has a valid reclamation claim, but may still deny the right to reclaim if it believes the customer needs the goods." It can also get reduced if some of the disputed goods have already sold by the time it gets considered in court. I also learned that they can't reclaim anything shipped to Sears more than 45 days before bankruptcy was filed, and they only get 20 days after bankruptcy to file for reclamation, so yesterday 11/5 was the last day.

hmm... I ordered a GW pliers along with B and D shovel. The shovel is on its way - I have a ups tracking now. The GW pliers is still showing processing - I hope it is really being processed  but definitely my points are not returned into my account.

I ordered GW knowingly they filed reclamation claims, so I took a risk here. I just hope that I either get my pliers, or at least get my points back if my order is cancelled.

Sears online chat continues to provide good service. To use the $10 in sweeps weekly free cash plus some expiring points, I placed an order for two of the 18" Craftsman wolfcraft rebrand clamps (plus a small filler) last night since I only have the other sizes but it was cancelled this morning due to availability; on chat I simply asked that I be able to order qty 2 of the 24" size instead (was same price but without filler below $35); well the service agent just placed a free order with new points for the two clamps, I have my original refund, and they adjusted my points so that the ~$10 of free cash and other points all turned into points expiring end of next year. Good deal.

What are people finding as filler items these days that count toward free shipping? My local stores have all closed and I only seem to be able to find $3-4+ items now as filler, here is what I used:

Nicholson File Cleaner $6.29

If you still have a nearby store, I think you can do a combination of store-pickup filler items and ship-to-home items in the same order to count towards the $35 for free shipping on ship-to-home-only items. Or even if you don't have a nearby store, some people order fillers that they're willing to abandon (never pick up), though I'd see that as a last resort personally.

First... I'm not certain this qualifies as a 'hot' deal... but stumbled across it looking for something... anything... to use my points on:

Rockwell 4.2A F80 DuoTech Sonicrafter Oscillating Tool - $116.76

https://www.sears.com/rockwell-4.2a-f80-duotech-sonicrafter-oscillating-tool/p-SPM14772153828

It has good reviews on Amazon... it's cheaper here than Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes... and could be a candidate for anyone considering the "Spend $100, get $30 in points back deal". You can even use the $10 off $100 coupon on it and still qualify.

It doesn't appear to be available for shipping... but could be shipped to store. Assuming it ships at all, that is.

Out of my price range but sounds like a great deal to me! It says it should arrive at the store by Nov 15 if ordered today, so that's not long to wait if things go according to plan.

BTW, note that today is the last day of the 10% F&F sale, so that price and almost all prices will go back up by 10% tomorrow.

As I was ordering the body clip removal tool set ($19.85), I just noticed there's a typo in the fine print on the cart page. "The points you receive may vary based on purchase(s), offers or subsequent modifitcations to your cart." I wonder how many years that has been there.

FWIW...i don't think i've seen it posted in here yet, but the $300 back on appliances says the points pay out weekly in 12 installments instead of monthly like the last several have. points only good for 7 days, but that could get you 8+ payments by christmas if they at least stay open that long.

also, the ^^^ 165-pc shows as $71.99 for me.

I ordered a set of GearWrench pliers yesterday... just got a "Your Items Have Shipped" e-mail with a tracking number... for what that's worth.

That assumes the court approves, which is unlikely in my experience. Vendors know they are unlikely to be able reclaim merchandise, but they file for insurance reasons.

It's really rare, almost unheard of, for these motions to be approved. The companies file for insurance reasons, so they can show they tried to recover the loss (if it turns out to be a loss).

Is there a reason why I can't apply the $10 weekly sweeps freecash to the sensor socket set? I can apply it to anything else I put in the cart but that.:headscrat
