Craftsman 4" Bench Vise. Very tempting at $25.47 Any good?
Junk, I tried three different ones and the jaws don't line up square. Their 6" vise seems fine, not sure why the 4" is so poorly made.

I agree the 2pc impact screwdriver set is worthwhile, even when not at the lowest price. Made by Vessel. Under their own name, I don't think Vessel even makes a slotted impact screwdriver (if they do, I didn't see it on Amazon when I looked a few months ago), just JIS Phillips. So if the Craftsman set becomes unavailable, there's no close substitute.
Is the Craftsman Impact Screwdriver tip regular Phillips or JIS?

This is a re-branded Vessel and it comes with a tip that fits both. I don't have enough posts to make a link but search the Vessel website and it says "On the other hand, a Japanese cross-point screwdriver fits both JIS and Phillips® screws perfectly. If you don’t know what type of screw you are fastening, then we would highly recommend using a VESSEL Japanese cross-point driver since it’s universal for both screw types."
The hose pinch pliers that were $4.19 have now gone up to $12.99 online.

After I ordered one for pickup last week, they became supposedly unavailable locally, according to the website (as if I got the 2nd-to-last or last one); today it still claims they're unavailable within 100 miles. However, when I was at my store on Sunday, they actually still had a peg full of these (far more than the last one they normally don't count in online inventory - I think there were like 5 or 6). They had a tag saying they were on an in-store sale for $7.something, Nov 4-Dec 1 IIRC. Something to be aware of if any of you wanted more of these than you were able to order.
The Vessel set is technically JIS. JIS screwdrivers fit both Phillips and JIS screw heads great, but due to the slight design difference, Phillips screwdrivers **** on JIS screw heads. Another Phillips cousin for comparison, Pozidriv, cannot be used interchangeably in either direction without high risk of damage.
Thank you @Hexen! I know JIS is not the same as Phillips but that image finally make it clear for me.
I notice prices are now going back up on some items. Hopefully we will see some great deals here in the next few days. I am not sure why I keep checking Sears website. I think I am just addicted lol
It will be a sad withdrawal when Sears and/or SYW finally shuts down. Woah, Sears is now doing a second round of the TURKEY texting promotion. Apparently it's now working for more people who it didn't work for before (no guarantees of course), AND if you got the first version already, you can get this one too!Guess I'm going to have to mess with another no-price-matching in-store purchase this week.
It is now a $15-off-$15 coupon with a barcode that you'll have to show to the cashier, instead of a $15-off-$15 freecash surprise points offer. Still can only be used in-store at non-closing stores. Expires Sun Nov 25.

atlm said:... I am looking for JIS ...
So to make really sure now that they are JIS, I got my 'Phillips'-labeled one out just now and held it up in front of the photo above. It definitely looks like the JIS.
Anyone see any worthwhile deals to make the most of $120 worth of points on???
I am looking for JIS, and am very familiar with the differences from working on Japanese motorcycles & vehicles for most of my life. Many years ago I modified a PH2 with a file to reshape it to stop fastener damage. Then I learned about JIS and bought proper drivers.
if youre in the market for some power tools, sears has the same price as lowes/amazon/hd for this dewalt set though all bets are off for the next week due to BF. by the time you get a $1 filler and use a $20 RMN coupon, you might be $10 OOP which is a steal for some dewalt power toolsAnyone see any worthwhile deals to make the most of $120 worth of points on???
When did Jap motorcycles start using these? Last Jap Motorcycle I had was a 78 GW, couple Hondas prior to that one as well.
Maybe you had some without realizing it and got lucky with regular Phillips being close enough. This guy says they were introduced in 1967.Maybe you had some without realizing it and got lucky with regular Phillips being close enough.
These are the top-of-the-line boxes from International and are built in Canada.
I thought they were great prices and bought both the bottom and top (International #s SRB-4205 and SRT-4204). Shipping was was included, so the total was about $875. Only slightly higher than HF and seem to be very good quality. I like the long wide drawers vs. some others that have more smaller drawers. We'll see if Sears can get them delivered.
I was about to pull the trigger on that one too. Thanks for the link BTW.. As I read the details. I saw this... WADDYA THINK?
If I pay Regular price, I'd get a Gift card for $1567.50
SO, If my arithmetic is correct.
I'd Pay $1899.99 and get a gift card for $1567.50
I'd end up paying $332.49. After I get my card 30 Days later... Of course I'd have to buy more tools at Sears.... but...
Has anyone done this with a Sears Purchase?
One person on SD reported their (second Turkey text) $15 coupon didn't work in store. Has anyone here tried theirs and had success or failure?

Don't do it. I have done the saveonall deals a few times in the past year and the last few times it has taken me 3 months and many emails to get my gift card. There is no one to call if you don't get the gift card, you just keep sending emails that may or may not get a response.
I receive a response telling me to txt TURKEY to 73277, when I txt STUFFING.
Or do you have to use that TURKEY coupon, before they will send the new one? Really doubt Sears systems are programmed that smart.
