Fat is really tasty too. I haven't missed sugar too much, but I do pretty well with recipes so maybe that's the trick.
I just ran across this thread while waiting for the keto pizza to bake, for dinner. 7 months ago, I weighed 185 or so and am 5 foot 7 inches at age 37. In high school, I weighed around 165. After 7 months of the keto diet, I'm down to 163.5 lbs. and I have lost a bunch of fat.
My diet is full of fat and plenty of salt. 6 months ago I also got my first smoker, an akorn direct heat unit, and eat lots of meat. Every day, I have salad for lunch with Italian meats or ham and and various types of cheese along with yogurt and cheese sticks for a snack. My other snack k throughout the day is fat bombs. Some are coco power/chocolate and coconut oil, mint, nuts, heavy whipping cream and a sweetener that is natural but not sugar (no carbs). My coffee I. The morning gets lots of heavy whipping cream poured in and sometimes coconut, peppermint, or other flavoring/extract added.
My stomach does far better on this diet. Before the diet, it was comm5for me to have an upset stomach or to have to hit the bathroom too often or on short notice. I have been able to do construction work again, where before the diet, that type of physical work left me in far too much pain. While I have arthritis in my neck and lower back in one disc at each place along with none spurs in my neck, the amount of pain I have is much higher than others with similar problems. A long time doctor of mine said he has seen the same thing in other patients who eventually were diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
The keto/ low carb diet is supposed to be great for reducing inflammation and helping the brain function better. It is working well for me, compared to my previous diet of eating anything I wanted, in moderation. I still have pain every day but I have managed to get much more done while on the diet as I don't flare up as easily and recover faster from physical work.
For 17 years, I was a painter/drywall/finish guy and also learned many other trades. You won't catch me doing anything above 20 to 35 feet and definitely wouldn't catch me up a tower! I limit the high work as much as possible and let others handle it.
It is cool to see photos and videos of tower work as I admire people who can handle it. It is interesting and terrifying to watch all at the same time.

That ***** on having to be towed... ug....
I had to do some googling to see what that is.... So it's basically an oil powered pump for pressurizing and injecting diesel fuel, correct?
