Great! Thank You!didn't want to keep polluting the thread, but yes.
not all unions are constricting, e.g. https://www.zoro.com/zoro-select-hose-mender-38-in-barb-brass-6afh5.
and i've connected different sized hoses and pulled fluids out of all kinds of tanks. if you think rubber hose is too thick or has too high a wall thickness, use some flexible copper tubing. thread sealant helps there.
also, pro tip: viscosity thins when warmed.
i honestly don't get the skepticism over an $8 tool that works a treat.

I'm getting 806916 as "does not exist". The Troy Bilt I am finding is unavailable anywhere, including several of the stores above. That one is Item # 961611 Model # 020712

Came across these tonight at lowes. New to me. Didn't realize Irwin made pliers wrench. Anyone ever try them?

About the LiquiVac: I think most mowers have an oil drain plug under the mower deck so draining the oil isn't too much of a pain.
But I think most (all?) Honda mowers do not have an oil drain plug. It is a real pain IMO to change the oil in a Honda mower because you need to elevate it on some kind of platform so that it is higher than the oil drain pan, then tip the entire mower onto its side, being careful not to let the mower tip right over while carefully aiming the oil stream. I'm thinking oil changes on my Honda are going to be a lot easier and cleaner now.
I just tip my Honda mover over the storm drain out at the curb twice a year. Easy peasy

I can't even imagine how small the hose would have to be to fit in my dipstick tube? Like someone mentioned earlier though, it would probably work great for a transmission.
I picked up two liquid vacs one for gas and one for oil, these will come in really handy changing the oil on a Mercruiser V6 on the boat, the current drain is so slow it takes several hours for it to drain out.
