Heck no. I think Tampa only shares with Gerard. There’s some days where he’s four times as happy as he normally is.

:shocking:We had a lot of fun, but not too much as we all walked out under our own power. I’m still finding empty beer bottles around though.:lol_hitti

Well I think I figured out what Shorty was doing holding that steel rod over me.

From years of experience and my wife telling me to pull my shirt down in the back when bending over or other non- standing positions, I’m thinking he used the stick to move my shirt down to spare you all on the **** crack!:shocking:
No that’s the definition of a friend, doing a potentially dangerous task like that just to give me some dignity!

I’m going to assume he needs glasses!

I need to post up a bunch of pictures in the hopes of this one get replace is the cover photo of my shop (Tapatalk).

Yep, first photo of my shop that you see is me laying on the floor!!!:lol_hitti

Back to work after all the hoes left.

Pulled the wires for the generator backfeed from shed to shop panel, but decided at the last minute to use this wire run of 4 gauge as a feed for a sub panel for shed, I’ll just add a breaker for the generator to plug into.

I’ll also feed the air compressor and lights off this panel.

Shorty helped for a little while, almost took a shower when I blew air through conduit to clear out the water that accumulated. :shocking:

Sucked a pull string with the shop vac.
Rigged up a small rope to pull with, pulling 3-4 gauge and a 8 gauge, plus I had the maximum amount of bends, so I figured it’d be a tight pull.
I hung a pulley over the conduit to give us some leverage, the wife pulled most of the run.

A little custom pvc conduit bending.
2823c948c749641c7c995417f4a0a58c.jpg
After we finished pulling, I was removing the panel cover to start the tie ins and looked up to this.

Best we could tell he was there the whole time. Must be comfortable sitting there with eyes closed,

Sub panel in the shed.

I had to offset panel as I wanted it attached to the upright. When I placed the conduits in the slab, I couldn’t get exact anchor and post locations from the building manufacture, and at the time I was just going to mount a simple disconnect box for the generator.

Let there be light!
15f7bd2d10a355128d320149f95bb689.jpg

I working on getting a motor starter with a 120 volt coil and a motorized ball valve so I can remote start and open the valve to air compressor once it’s in the shed.
I’m planning on a LED indicator light at the remote switches by the walk door of the shop so I’ll see them when I close up for the day.
I’m also using two more lights outside the shop that I’ll see from the house after I walk right past the first lights when I lock up.:lol_hitti:lol_hitti

Heck, we took you to Hooters to look at owls but you wanted to look at the menu.

I looked around and saw the “OO” of Hooters weren’t big enough for my liking. Trust me, I have well trained eyes to spot things well before you even catch on. LOL

A quick update at the acres.

Painted another Vidmar, this makes 3 down and about 7 more to go.

The can rack I bought is working great for the drawers.

Wire wheeled the tracks and coated with a dry lube.

I need to clean and lube bearings, hopefully I'll have back together today.
Got to paint the handles soon as I find them.

Picked up a Duro cord reel at a sale, mounted the next day. That's a record for me.
The only place to mount where I needed it was on a 4x4 post that frames in my door. The base of the reel is 6" wide, so I made a mounting plate, a piece of 1/4" x 6" flatbar.
e89a980d4f9b6c06f5b285bbc37ae961.jpg
I was in a hurry to get done and didn't have time to wait for paint to dry, so I repurposed a couple of beer bottle caps for wet paint stand offs.
fddda5c127eb83180d24bc837f77cf5f.jpg
I used 4 lag bolts, 2 on the mount plate, 2 through the base and mount plate. Used 2 more machine bolts to attach the base to mount plate .

Should stay in place.

Now to mount some hose reels that I've had for 6 years or so.

Not much happening, took stuff out of shop and sold at swap meet and put up Christmas lights. Also been inspecting the bottoms of beer bottles.
Here’s my set up at the swap meet.
58f21678bc64dced4127f6b9334c2f5d.jpg
It’s in the parking lot of the Muscle Car City, a private car museum in Punta Gorda , Fl.
It was a good time and most of the people enjoyable to be around.

On to Christmas lights.
Here’s my light installation vehicle .
bbeb3e184ab376bdffc919119f969bbc.jpg
I run light on my fence along driveway and across the front of my property, 550’ with of lights. I love seeing the glow across driveway when I leave in the morning.
This is my high speed unreeler,
713b34ff0a5d62667c30dade5f2132d9.jpg
I finally spliced about about 14 spots where the fukking squirrels chewed through.
That’s all for now.

Muscle Car City is awesome. Ive been maybe 3 times, and each time is totally worth the trip. Never been lucky enough to catch a swapmeet there though...

I like the work you're doing, now I need to go back to the beginning and start reading.

XJ, thanks for stopping in.

If you are reading from the beginning, every cab that I painted is diffrent, it's just getting strung out a little.

The swap meet is the last Sunday of each month, I stumbled across it a few months ago. It's perfect for me to get rid of years of accumulated stuff and it's 20 minuites from me. This is a new location, past year I think, just a little south of where they were before.

Right, they were supposedly moving buildings several years ago now. He bought a new place and had to sell off a bunch of cars because the new place was smaller than the old Walmart he had. Renovations were being done last time I was around. I need to go see it now if its finished.

Anyhow, back to your regular program. Ive sidetracked enough for one day.

Craig, my friend, I hope you are having a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year -- when we can get together again.

Duker and Bob, guys I'm sorry I didn't see this before, I was asleep most of Christsmas from this bug that's going around.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

Always look forward to stopping by Bob.

Here’s what’s been happening, nothing spectacular.

Decided to treat my horizontal magnetic surface disease with a age old remedy, clean the **** off!
IMG_6700.jpg
I had stuff on there from clearing out Moms house last year, being 2017. It was like an archeological dig. Found stuff in tool bags that I bought a sales couple years ago .

This Lifetime Craftsman ratchet .

Hell , I don’t even have to leave the shop to find treasures. Had I kicked the bucket and they were going through my shop , I wonder what they would of thought????, heres another bag with random tools........

Anyway, even though the below picture don’t look like much progress was made , a lot was put away.
IMG_6776.jpg

I just needed to stop and do this so I can actually use the shop to see it’s potential
To build the rest of the things for the shop, what a novel idea.

Thanks for stopping by.

You know what would really free up a lot of space? If you kicked that Liftime ratchet on out of there. I’ll bet that thing takes up a whole Lista by itself. I happen know the perfect place for it too. ;)

Really though, must be nice to see the table top again.

I figured I’d let you all know I’m still around.

Finally came across a chain bag for my electric hoist, no more balancing where I leave the hook and best of all, i won’t be rubbing the rust off the chain with my head anymore.
Here’s the bag, it’s off a different hoist, so needed a little modification.
3bcf5c2abdd3b3fbd6b158b26163e10d.jpg
It has to mate up to the bracket off the hoist. Needed a extra hole drilled.
b7315ffca40187d5c03b80394326e7a9.jpg
A little custom twisting
9a322b2a82510c9e3ca66fdc5004d599.jpg
Drill a couple more holes and some trimming.
21f2a765fbd90b10ca3ceb07db6453d0.jpg
And it’s in place.
